Everlast C3 Foam Heavy Punch Bag - Grey, 4 Feet

After some strange problem with DPD actually managing to lose my order (which is a tad worrying as it's basically the same size and weight as an 8 year old child), I have finally received my replacement sorted out by the lovely Lorraine (she deserves a promotion by the way) and have been happily punching the hell of out it now for several hours. I should make it clear, as I haven't read this anywhere else, that there is a heavy duty outer on this bag that will rip the skin off your knuckles in no time at all so a decent pair of gloves are an absolute must. I have a reflex ball and a pair of MMA grappling gloves that I use for that but they are not sufficient for this beast. You WILL lose skin if the gloves are not suitable.It's stated that the bag weighs 100lbs, that translates into English as 45kg but I don't think this bag is that heavy. My dumbbells are 40kg and feel a lot heavier. I haven't weighed the bag as I can't be bothered but I would estimate the weight to be closer to 30-35kg. Nonetheless, it's a good weight to hit and offers some good resistance when letting loose on it.And for all you budding fighters out there that can't hang a bag without fear of your house falling down around it (like me) then do what I've done: Get a good chin-up bar, screw it into your doorframe and hang it from that. That's what I've done and it works great. You will need to screw the bar in as even though my bar can take 100kgs it started to slip when laying into the bag. With the supplied screws holding it up it's as safe as houses that don't have a heavy bag hanging from the rafters.Go at it!

Despite first parcel getting lost still gave it 5 stars. After DPD said it had gone astray I phoned amazon and nice girl very swift in ordering a replacement. Got the bag within 24 hours of phone call. Worth keeping an eye on the tracking details. If it's not moving query it as it should be scanned every time it moves. Great system watching the driver on his/her round so you don't have to wait in all day!When I opened package I was very impressed with quality. No smell. It is 35kg as stated. My main concern was how far it would hang down as I have bracket on wall a bit lower due to coving in the way. Didn't want to cut part of it out.As well as punch bag you also get a few accessories. Some if this info should be in description really to help you buy right bag. I've seen some bags advertised without the weight! A good heavy bag. Good quality and came with all the fittings you need to be up and running in no time.You will definitely need some boxing gloves though, I went for some 16oz ones, as punching this baby full strength for any length of time will mark and scuff your hands/knuckles up pretty bad. This is not a negative thing - in-fact this is what you want and indeed why I paid extra for this heavier quality bag.You can struggle to lift this up yourself and attach to a rafter (needs to be a fairly solid one !).Materials look as if they will last too - I leave the plastic cover/sheet on the top of the bag and slide it down over the whole of the bag when not in use to give it a bit more protection from potential moisture from my out building.All in all I would recommend.

Ok first and foremost some very strange weights being advertised, in fact not even 32 kgs.So if you need a more weighty bag this is not for you, I have to admit I was close to sending back as this is shoddy advertising even the tag that come on the bag states 100lbs.But the bag itself is very good, a good step up from my last one and as not a big hitter I was prepared to look past the weight. If it lasts one year then all good as means I can start saving for the Lonsdale Colossus.

As expected and really pleased.The weight (32kg) is as advertised and the foam sleeve cushions the impact of punches. Hanging straps appear very well-stitched and secure. For heavy punchers who want a bag that does not swing when hit, either buy a heavier bag or use a heavy bag anchor. Personally, I use the RDX anchor for a few rounds with a focus on power-punching, remove the anchor and concentrate on working with the movement of the bag .. and repeat. Best of both worlds.A small steel anchor ring at the bottom would give me more confidence in terms of longevity - that said, the material loop (same material as hanging straps) appears durable enough (but time will tell)

I was looking for a better bag than my current one, having being working on a professional bag at the gym, and chose this one. It is great quality and really well filled. Good, heavy bag but not for beginners. Great that you can tether the base of the bag to to prevent too much swing. I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about their boxing workout. Received it a day earlier than expected from the supplier. Well packaged and with all the necessary accessories to hang it from my existing beam.

I did a lot of review searching to find the best punch bag for my price range and I am so glad I opted for this one. It’s only been a week but so far the bag has been excellent. I opted for the Bodymax stand and the height and stability with the two together is perfect.
