This little adapter works great with my RAV Power power-bank and an EOS M Cage RIG, the plug lights up showing power is flowing, however I would much rather see just a small green led then the whole plastic USB plug lighting up, this may be slightly annoying to some if you use in a RIG. But hey that's nit picking it does work as it should and is easy to set up, just pop the small rubber switch door on your M after inserting the dummy battery, and plug the barrel connector into the bottom port on the camera handle. The adapter cable has a right angled plug so it stays out of the way, unlike some that have a straight plug.Note: just makes sure your Power-Bank or USB power source provides enough amperage or it may not work correctly. 2-3A should work perfectly.I think It would be great if the manufacturer also made a very short version of this so that if you use this with a cam rig set up you do not have all this extra wire. Other then that it I think it is worth getting if you want to power your M with an external battery or USB power supply so for its intended use the extra length makes perfect sense. Overall I feel its a good little adapter to have in your bag.

The media could not be loaded. Was always able to connect my GoPro to an auxiliary battery source, so was excited to find a similar solve for my Canon M50 MKII. Total game changer for my streaming set-up!

The USB acke12 continuous power supply kit is a real blessing for my Canon M50. I used to feel anxious while streaming or recording for extended periods, always with a nagging worry about when my camera battery would run out. Thankfully, this kit, acting as a faux battery, has taken that stress off my plate. It's brilliant being able to use my camera for streaming without the constant worry about battery life.It's a bit frustrating that Canon hasn't included USB power support in their cameras, but this kit gets around that problem. Setting it up is quite simple - you just swap out the original battery with the DR-E12 dummy, plug into an external power adapter, and you're set.Just a tip - make sure to completely close the battery compartment door for the camera to start up correctly. And don't forget to lift the rubber cover over the hole to plug in the adapter. While I wish Canon would add USB-C compatibility to their cameras, for now, this kit is an excellent solution.In summary, if you're planning on using your Canon camera for long-duration tasks like streaming or long-term studio shoots, this is a must-have accessory. It gives you the freedom to focus on your creative work rather than worrying about the battery dying. I strongly recommend it.

During the pandemic I purchased a Canon M50 for streaming and some light photography. Anyone that has purchased this camera knows that it's a great entry into the Canon ecosystem. One of the downsides of using my camera as a streaming cam was that the battery ran out constantly. This power supply with a dummy battery was a clutch performer for my streaming and Zoom meeting. It's allowed me to stream without any limit and have a quality picture that has been recognized by clients and team members. I previously had another power supply and this one is much better.
