It's a pickup tool but it is magnetized also with an LED
I have this one task to perform at my job that requires the use ofsomething of this nature, so I decided to try it. I've had some cheap tools similar to this that I never took much stock in and only rarely used. This however, is a whole other thing. It has the same function as any pickup tool but this one has a light and a magnet. So far my only complaint is that someone forgot to turn the light off. Yes, that would be me. Lol....when you squeeze it so that the jaws open the LED gets exposed more, but when retracted it's obviously harder to see. So you have to be mindful of it. I forgot the first time I used it. It takes three LR44 button cells I believe.

Very Well Made
This thing surprised me with the quality of the construction. I'd recommend this to anyone with a need for a tool like this. The LED at the tip is really cool.

I did not know it had a light. Light did not last long. Magnet strong enough to pick up most things I drop.

Very good for fishing a tool out of a water trap
I accidentally dropped a paint can opener down one of our shower water traps. Luckily, it could not make the turn in the trap, and proceed down to our septic system. If it had gone as far as the septic tank, it likely would have ruined a pump. Unluckily, the paint can opener was not visible in the water trap. The water trap starts at about 15" of inch and a half plastic pipe. The key to removing the can opener was to work the tool into the trap, grab the can opener, then pull it out. It took three tries, but I was finally successful.

Best pickup tool ever
Have used this pickup tool several times now since received. The light, the flex idea for getting objects in dark hard to get spots. Delivery was prompt. Would recommend to everyone.

Difficulty in pushing the button
I like the flashlight at the end, and the magnet. I found it very hard to push down the button to activate the pickup end. Also the button was slippery so I put some Velcro on it so my thumb has something to grip.
