I love this monitor for work (web development, productivity, etc). I have not tried it for gaming, but for working on things in web browsers and dev environments, it works perfectly. Text is super clear, the brightness and color adjustments are nearly limitless. I'd buy this one again.

The best productivity monitor I've come across, and the partition mode means it's good for games too - especially if your graphics card can handle 1440. The glare protection is pretty good, though I think some glare may be inevitable with a curved monitor. My flat has windows in every direction, and I've definitely had to close curtains more often. The screen split is pretty great for me when I work from home. This thing is FANTASTIC with a tiling window manager. I'm gonna move on to the cons, but keep in mind this is the best monitor. I would classify the cons as "annoying".- The KVM isn't too frustrating, but you should know it's not one of the quick ones. It takes probably 5 seconds including user input and switchover delay.- The monitor cannot learn your preferences for left or right and I have to go back into the menu to change orientation every single time I clock into work and turn split mode on. So that takes a solid 10 seconds because you have to wait for the menu to reload, etc.- And it takes just as much time when I clock out of work and switch to just my desktop. It ALWAYS chooses USB C over HDMI - even if you turn off "Auto Select for USB-C".- Speaking of - the manual tells you how to turn every feature on and off, but it doesn't tell you what you should expect those features should do. "Auto Select for USB-C" does not appear to do anything at all, but I don't really know what to expect so I cannot troubleshoot it. They also never explain what Auto-KVM means. It means if you turn on or plug in your USB-C device (typically laptop), it will switch the KVM to it, and vice versa when unplugged. I suppose I need to start unplugging USB when I clock out since the monitor is seemingly designed around that workflow and no other.- It's just hard to imagine how they engineered a monitor this incredible and never imagined someone might keep their laptop on the left side of their desk. Maybe I need to boot into Windows and check for a firmware update, because it's extremely annoying.Still: 4.5 stars. I won't go back, I'll just whine about it.

The good: Build quality of the monitor is excellent. It looks beautiful on your desk. It works fine with both Mac and Windows. The built in KVM works OK but does have a hiccup occasionally. Pretty typical of KVMs. The drop down USB ports are nice. Speakers are nothing to write home about but they make noise.The annoying: There is nowhere near enough curve for a screen this size. It's something like 3800. It's nearly flat and picks up glare from everything in the room. In a dark room, maybe you could deal with it but, in my room office. I was constantly looking at glare.The bad: Even though it looks very cool sitting on your desk, 49" wide is just not a good format for work. It's too small to run 3 windows side by side so it couldn't replace my 3 x 27" setup. It's also too big to run one window full screen so you end up with one window covering the 2nd and 3rd quarter of the screen and 1/2 a window on the 1st and 4th quarter of the screen. Those quarters are too small to use for something like Outlook or web browsing so you're basically just dragging those windows to the middle when you need them.Speaking of dragging, neither Windows or Mac have decent support for a screen this wide. You have to use add on software to digitally break up the screen into sections (or you have to constantly resize your windows). For Windows, you can use PowerToys, which works pretty well but you can't drag an 'administrator' window, which is like 50% of my Windows. into a PowerToys section. For Mac, I like the Box add on, which works pretty well. Without native support, though, they're both just OK.Another huge downside for a screen this size that both Windows and Mac don't have the ability to center the entire taskbar/menu bar. That means, every time you need to click the Start Menu/Apple menu, you have to move your mouse all the way over to the corner of the left screen. Want to click the 'Close' button on a window, all the way to the corner. Even something as simple as looking at the clock becomes a chore (you wouldn't think it's a big deal but it is) as you have to look way over to the corner of the screen and, without a proper curve on the screen, it's kind of out of focus because it's a different distance the part of the screen you were just looking at.At the end of the day, this monitor was just too expensive and negatively affected my productivity. The only real benefit to a screen this size is a lot of real estate and only using a single monitor output on your computer. I would have had to add 2 additional screens above this one to get my productivity in line and then I'd have been wasting roughly half of this screen because it was not easily visible.I firmly believe that most of the people you see with these screens on their desk only have them there because someone else paid for them or they're in denial because they spent so much on them. Mine ended up going back and I picked up 3 x 32" ViewSonic's for much less than this monitor costs. I now have a much more productive screen setup and the ViewSonic's are 4K to boot.
