Patience will be rewarded
This wrap is a great affordable way to enchance the look of your steering wheel. I bought the custom option and notified the seller via the order support section of my Amazon account. Took about a month to arrive from China. The quality of the materials and fitment are very good. I do wish the suede was more fuzzy like alcantara, but I love the look overall. The installation of the wrap is definitely not easy. It requires several hours and a lot of patience to complete. In my case I also found it helpful to remove the steering wheel and it's trim. If you want it to look professional and clean, you absolutely cannot rush. If there is a stitch that looks weird or a wrinkle you don't like....STOP and start over. Watch a few YT videos as well to get a solid understanding of how the leather will stretch and how to stitch it correctly. The kit comes with plenty of thread (hint: each section requires 3x its length of thread) and everything you need to complete the job. I did not use the included double sided tape out of concern it might damage the original wheel leather. That being said, I didn't find the installation process difficult, just tedious. It's fairly straightforward in that all you're doing is stitching 3 sections. I actually found the hardest part was tucking the leather into the back seams of the steering wheel. But the final product exceeded my expectations and looks incredible in the car.

Looks great
little bit hard to install, but it's worth it and looks great.

Awesome!
So far, I'm very happy with this cover. Cheap way to upgrade the look and feel of your interior. Took me a couple hours to do (also didn't know how to sew until this morning). Pretty straight forward. Make sure you take your time tucking the material under the panels before, during and after stitching it all up. Also I recommend stitching every loop, instead if every other one. You're provided with more than enough string to do so. It just pulls the material together much easier and makes tucking easier as well.

Mehh
At first it felt really nice and gave me the upscale feel to the car . Over time tho it starts feeling difrent , caked up with dirt and more plasticky , i dont know if its because of sun . Or because of lack of cleaning altho i have tried getting in touch with manufacture to ask what should i celan it with so i dont damage it with no luck (never used any cleaners on it either).

Decent, but wears quickly
Pros:- Feels good... thick, comfortable and grippy- Looks good (imo)- Protects original wheel leather- Fits pretty well (not perfect) but good enough for a coverCons- A pain to put on (2 hours from start to finish)- Wears quickly (see pictures)- Due to the type of material, it is hard to keep clean (and I never touch the wheel with dirty hands)Its great to have while it lasts. 1 year and looking pretty rough. I cant say I recommend it unless you don't mind the worn look. Not sure how this would hold up if you wore racing gloves (maybe last a little longer). I definitely do not recommend this if your palms sweat, the suede will degrade quickly. Might try a different material if I do it again.

Quality is great for the money
Quality is great for the money. Installation is great if you take your time. I removed my wheel and the trim with steering controls. Took me about 2 hours of sewing to get it to where I felt happy with it. For a tenth of the cost of a club sport steering wheel and my time to install it, I am very happy with the fit and finish. My only suggestion for anyone wanting to take on this task is wash your hands 100 times in the process and be patient.

Probably won’t fit
Cheap material and not the correct size. Also gave up on it as soon as I saw the thread coming undone from where I had started, it’s just held on with a little dab of glue.

Don't use the provided 2 sided tape except on the back of the spokes near the shift paddles - and remove the wheel!
This product made me angry. I wanted it to work so bad, that I put in more time - to try to overcome a bad design. The instructions are 2 sides of one paper, and although the photos are color and clear, this is really the kind of task better suited to be taught by video. Too many stitching terms used for a non-sewer (sower? stitcher-er?) Those instructions did include a link to a youtube video - that no longer exists. They didn't include the title of the video, so you have to type out the URL character for character - which is something else you have to pay unnecessarily close attention to detail. I found several similar videos showing how others put similar products on similar wheels. However in my opinion - this particular design should have its own video in order to align various points of the material with corresponding points on the steering wheel. The material itself does stretch to fit tightly around the wheel. Similar products didn't also include the double-sided tape. The tape was a nightmare. It was very difficult to cut, and left a near permanent residue on my scissors - which made it increasingly harder to cut as I progressed through the install. To pull the paper backing off the tape took tweezers, a flashlight (and a third hand that I didn't have to hold the flashlight). The instructions show tape going up to about a 1/8" away from the edges of the stencil - however (if tape is really needed at all) I think it would be better to use a single strip going along the center of the stencil - which would allow each side to stretch by a varying degree.I completed the lower left section first, and found there was a bunched up spot near a spoke that I couldn't correct. This was about 90 minutes into this install. I decided I'd be OK with one flaw, since I was attempting to imitate a $750 steering wheel for less than $60. As I did the next section (lower right) a second bunch formed, and it also revealed that the two upper portions were going to bunch up in some places and have visible gaps in others - on the top portion of the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock spokes. This was 2.5 hours in, and I decided enough is enough and cut it off. After removing the stencil - the double sided tape stuck to my wheel and took a good 15-20 more minutes to remove. I still find sticky spots on my shift paddles.Through Amazon - I sent notification that I wished to return it. 2 business days went by with no response. Day 6 I printed the label and day 11 it's been shipped back.If Loncky responds with any advice, an apology or questions - I'll up my rating to 2 stars.**UPDATE**Lily Woods has made an effort to correct my issue. I placed this order on my wife's (Prime) account, so correspondence from LW went to my wife's email...that she deleted. Now my wife is forwarding Lily Wood's efforts to make this right - which I appreciate. I've been offered a replacement wrap - presumably the exact one that didn't work before. Perhaps I'll adjust how I use the 2 sided tape and I'll be able to better stretch the material and achieve the look that happy purchasers achieved. If I do get a second cover from LW, I'll raise my rating to 3 stars even if it doesn't work. If it works, then I'll raise it to either 4 or 5 stars depending on fitment. The instructions claim it isn't necessary to remove the steering wheel for the install, but I imagine that makes the stitching MUCH easier in some spots.***UPDATE 2***Lilly Woods or Amazon refunded my order including shipping. My refund was in the form of an Amazon giftcard, but it came well after 30 days of me ordering the cover. Since I mistakenly accused LW of not communicating with me, and they've been extremely patient and accepting of my return, I've upped my rating again to 3 stars. I believe they offered both a refund, AND a replacement. If another cover arrives, fit or no fit, I'll raise my rating to 4 stars - since its only costing me my time. After watching 2 youtube videos ("Golf R MK7 Leather Steering Wheel Wrap + How to Remove Steering wheel" and "MK7 GTI Steering Wheel wrap install) I've decided I should both remove the steering wheel for this install, and not use the 2 sided tape on most of the wheel - only on the back, near where it meets the paddle shifters.***UPDATE 3***Lily Woods shipped me a replacement cover! Raised my rating to 4 stars. Any company that sells you a product, lets you return it, issues a full refund, then ships you a replacement product (for free!) is awesome in my book. Since my next attempt will involve removing the steering wheel, it'll be a while before I give it another go. In the previously mentioned Golf R MK7 Leather Steering Wheel Wrap + How to Remove Steering wheel" youtube video, a 1 time use (aka TTY or stretch bolt) it used to secure the steering wheel onto the ... whatever you call it. It's only a $2 bolt, but the guy in the video clearly reused it when he didn't properly align the steering wheel when he reinstalled it. I plan to buy at least 2, maybe 3. Unless the cover falls a part within a month of me installing this cover, or it still doesn't fit, I'll raise my rating up to 5 stars. THANKS LILY WOOD!!
