Bright and waterproof
I bought this to help me see my dog when I let her outside at night as her fur color is black. I live on 6 acres and this makes it so easy to keep an eye on her when out because it’s so bright. I put it on a clip style key ring and it’s easy to put on and take off quickly. So small that it doesn’t bother her at all when walking around. Best part is it’s waterproof so I don’t worry about rainy nights.Like another reviewer, not a huge fan of the button batteries and would prefer it to be rechargeable.

Good for dry land signaling buzzsaws, I wouldn't use underwater.
Water resistant/proof marker lights like these are incredibly handy both in and out of the water. I'm always happy to have more on hand. This particular unit is quite helpful, but some design decisions were made that in my opinion raise questions about durability. These durability concerns can be greatly mitigated if one primarily uses this on dry land. The light marker comes with a lanyard in the box so I found this unit makes for a wonderful signaling buzzsaw and works great for marking equipment and personnel in low light. The durability concern is because of the type of switch used. To turn the unit on, you cinch down the end cap all the way, to turn it off you back off a quarter turn. This is a quadruple output light so to change modes you have to turn it off and on again however many times you need to get to the mode you want. This is a fairly common style of switch for cheap keychain lights and it's not without its advantages. But for a light build for scuba like this, it is my belief that this is not ideal. The end cap is what keeps water from flowing into the battery compartment destroying the light. The end cap does have two o-rings on the threading to create a waterproof seal, but that requires the o-rings to be in good working order. The end cap twist switch means that there are more opportunities for water to compromise the threading and all that twisting back and forth puts extra stress on the o-rings. Unlike a lot of dive focused lights this unit did not come with extra o-rings so you'll have to provide your own if they do start to fail. Which is why I feel the best use of this light is out of the water. You still benefit from the o-rings when used on dry lands in very moist or wet environments without the stress of full immersion. One feature that I like is that it's user serviceable. Basically you can change out the batteries yourself. This may not seem like much, but there are a lot of much more expensive markers that are disposable and cannot have their battery changed. The coin batteries come wrapped in what looks like heat shrink tubing keeping the entire stack together if you like to pull your batteries for storage. This isn't strictly necessary for user battery replacement but if you have the capability of replicating this when you replace the batteries you'll have an easier time. This keeps all the batteries consolidated and doesn't result in a battery explosion every time you pull off the end cap.In my testing so far I found it in addition to being a great buzzsaw, it's a great alternative to a headlamp. The red and blue colored lenses are bright enough to get work done but not so bright but they blind everybody in proximity to you. With this unit I can use the lanyard and wear it around my neck, hook it inside my tent for administrative tasks, or clip it on the inside of my work packs for finding contents without splashing unnecessary light. I don't particularly care for the strobe modes, but since this is a marker and not a hand light it's more acceptable.Price wise this may seem a little expensive given its limitations but it's better than the cheaper keychain lights and not as good as the more expensive dive and IFF lights. If you know what you're getting and understand the limitations I think this is a great value for a water resistant light on dry land.

ME GUSTA PERO...
Me gusto la luz, sin embargo no se como puede funcionar debajo del agua, creo que debe activarse antes de sumergirse para que no se tenga problema, el manual no explica mucho el uso

Not what I hoped
I bought this light to clip on my dog while I waterfowl hunting before the sun comes up as he's easy to lose tabs on being a chocolate lab. At first I thought it was perfect until I used it. The different light functions worked but it shut itself off automatically around the 45-60min mark. I thought maybe it was the batteries so i replaced them and tried again and the light still shut itself off. I contacted the seller to see if this was normal as i didnt see anything about it in the paperwork and the seller assured me that it was not normal and that they would send me a replacment free of charge. The new light arrived today and this light does the same thing as the first one and shuts itself off at the 45-60min mark. At this point I either got two defective models or this is actually how they are intended to work. I would give 5 stars if the light would stay on until I turned it off. Giving 2 stars for customer service only.

Like a shining star, but underwater
OVERVIEWSo, you're headed to Cozumel for some epic group diving, and you've got this bright idea (literally) to stand out like a scuba superstar. You've armed yourself with a Dive Light, and your dive buddy's got one too because, well, it's her first time, and you don't want her to mistake a clownfish for you. Here's the scoop on these underwater illuminators:But wait, there's more! These Dive Lights aren't just for underwater adventures. They're versatile, like a Swiss Army knife of illumination. You can use them for other purposes, like walking your dog at night, marking locations in the evening, or even summoning aliens (just kidding, that last one isn't proven). Here's what you need to know:PROsShine Bright Like a Scba Diamond: Your primary mission was to distinguish yourself from the sea of black-clad divers, and this light delivers on that front. It's like a beacon of hope in the murky depths, even in silty water. You're practically a human lighthouse down there. No Accidental Lights Out: You were worried about fumbling around and accidentally turning off your illuminating magic wand. Good news - it's a tad challenging to activate underwater, which means no accidental darkness for you. Safety first, right?Kit Envy: Your dive kit just got an upgrade, and this light is the shiny new addition. It's like the latest accessory trend in the diving world, and you're the trendsetter.CONsButton Batteries: The Dive Buddy's Nemesis:** The only real hiccup here is the choice of button batteries. They might be as common as seashells, but they're not the sort of thing you can ask your dive buddy for in a pinch. Imagine being 100ft deep and having to MacGyver your way out of a battery shortage. Not cool.Flash Me Maybe? You were hoping for a little razzle-dazzle with a flashing mode to mark dive exit points or dance moves. Alas, this light is a bit of a one-trick pony, and a flashing mode would've been the cherry on top.

Easy to use and bright
This is perfect for attaching to some of that expensive dive gear that you don't want to loose. Not only is it a good safety feature especially if you like to dive at night it's perfect to attach to that expensive dive camera. As for using it for dive marking then you will obviously need quite a few of them but they are bright and can be easily maniuplated even with dive gloves on as it just requires a twist to operate the different modes. It's a solid and simple bit of equipment and will last a full dive however I would suggest you change the battery before each dive especially if you are using them as marker lights.

Hit Or Miss
This is very temperamental!! I do not dive but I dog walk and usually at night, I I really wanted to be seen. Something that can even be seen in fog ( which it works as I have tested). The only thing is, no matter how yard I have tried, I can only get the red flashing light. You twist to turn on and to get the different light settings. So I'm supposed to get static blue, then static red, followed by flashing blue and flashing red. I have twisted it so slowly and still only getting flashing red!!. I have unscrewed, removed batteries, added foil, checked the connector in the battery bay but not a single thing has worked. I can only assume that deep inside there is a connection issue somewhere out of reach. So the red flashing light is great in fog and I can be seen. I twisted the lanyard around the strap of my dog walking bag at the back so I can be seen from behind by any car. My hubby has said the light is really strong and can be seen from a far. I just wish the light had markers on it so when you twisted it, it would be any of the three I cannot seem to see. Size wise it's roughly my thumb size in length and I wear size medium gloves as a rough indicator. It has some weight too it but not value for money when I cannot get any of the other lights to work.

battery connection
The media could not be loaded. Genwiss Dive Light, Marker Lights for Scuba Diving, Diving Flashlight with Button Batteries, Mini Scuba Tank Waterproof Flashlight for 100M, Portable for Scuba Diving, Snorkelling and Water Sports [Energy Class A+++]This dive light is both small and light weight so is convenient for storage and not too heavy when swimming. However I had to open and remove and then reinsert the LR44 batteries a number of times before finally getting the light to turn on which is not a good start. When it did light up I got a red flashing light which could be good for seeing yourself and others and letting people in your swim team know your location.I have not been out swimming with the light as yet so cannot confirm how durable it is for long term use. It is quite bright and comes with a lanyard and the small LR44 batteries. Good size for attaching to a bag or backpack when out walking.
