DHF = FRONT, DHR = REAR. Amazing, beefy, lighter than comps.
Ran these on my 2018 Crust Evasion singlespeed for the Olympic 420. Self supported meant handling a loaded rig with total combined rider weight just under 200lbs. The terrain was always super steep, rarely flat and ranged from a bit of paved, some packed and marbly FSRs to stair-stepped looser loamy, rooty singletrack decents. There were grassy-muddy crossing bits and dusty doubletrack strewn with chunky, broken-bocce type rocks (35-40mph). The 650s clear tightly. They'll seem heavyish but are lighter and tougher, more supple than almost any other option in this range. The side lugs really bit if you lean properly. The width, float and directional pattern combined with the height of the lugs made it seam impossible to flat, and really press higher than usual speed thresholds with greater confidence on a 7+ day bikepacking race with many remote segments. I'll leave them on for winter and go back to my Schwalbe G One 2.8s for late spring through summer.

DHRII - Can't miss - Great tire!
This is a go-to for my rear tire in almost all conditions. Rolls nicely, not too wide for a rear tire and gobs of traction. Ordering Maxxis is ALWAYS confusing and sometime ordering Maxxis on Amazon is even more confusting. I usually go Maxxterra (lasts longer... Maxxgrip is tackier but wears faster) and exo or exo+. Exo+ is a little more burly but EXO has been mostly fine on the northeast USA tech/rocks I love to ride. Double down is too heavy and a bit overkill for trail riding. Though it does have more sidewall support which is nice and it's a lighter option than adding most inserts... so it could still be very useful if you're getting flats or want even more confidence/support. Just be strong enough to drag it around the mountain... double down is awesome but it's heavy!

Tires
Have had these tires for around 2 weeks, they have been holding up well as someone who rides a lot of DH trails, Really noticed the change in the grip when turning, initially was skeptical about the tires fitting my rim because they are pretty wide but they fit on pretty well!Would buy again

I love these tires
Upgraded the stock tires from my Trek Marlin 5 to the DHF in front and DHR II in back and wow! These tires have given me way more confidence out on the trail. I don’t slip off rocks or roots anymore, wet or dry. They help me power up hills better without slippage. They are beefy and make the bike look awesome. I had no problems with clearance when putting these on my bike, they fit perfectly (29x2.3) They were easy to install, with tubes. Kind of expensive but worth it for me. I can rip it up with way more confidence on these tires and that really helps me as a beginner. No more worries about tires sliding out or not gripping well. These tires have some serious grip in the wet, New England forests.
