Don't buy not as advertised. Per Grundens only good in light rain
I sail and do other out door activities. For years I purchased PVC rain wear and after sailing a boat from Virginia to Annapolis in the rain. I thought it was time to upgrade my rain wear. As per the description his riain coat would keep me dry in heavy rain. You know what? It did no such thing. After contacting Grundens three times I finally got a reply and the reply was that this jacket is only good for light rain. I looked at the product discription again. It said good in heavy rain. Looked at Grundens email only good in light rain. I guess once you buy it they change their tune about what it's good for. Who would make and advertise a rain gear that's only good in drizzle. That's not rain gear that's a wind breaker. Save your money. Go buy a Sterns PVC rain for $30. I have had one for years and it works better than this piece of crap.

Lining failed in less than a year.
I absolutely loved this jacket at first. I recommended it to everyone. Then about 10 months in I noticed the lining was cracking here and there, no big deal, but then at month 11 I was unloading a truck in relatively heavy rain and the entire lining disintegrated into a white goopy paste that got all over my clothes, hands and neck. It was like I'd asked an army of first graders to go to town drawing on me with deodorant sticks. It was a mess. I wrapped the whole thing in shrink wrap so as not to contaminate my car and any poor soul who went near the thing. I've contacted Grundens Support and am awaiting their response.

Not a Raincoat
This is a well built jacket, it's lightweight, fairly durable, and it packs well, but...it's not actually waterproof. It makes a decent windbreaker, but as soon as any kind of precipitation more than a drizzle starts coming, the woven fabric becomes quickly saturated, and you slowly get soaked underneath. At first, I just thought it was heavy sweat or condensation inside the jacket, but after working in the rain several times where the same thing happened, I took it home and hit it with a garden hose, and sure enough, water starts coming through pretty quickly. I thought when I bought it, "8000 MM waterproof" meant "this coat is not water permeable", but it doesn't. Buy it as a windbreaker or if you're sure you'll never see more than a tiny bit of rain, but if you need actual foul weather gear, move up the Grundens scale to some of their pricier offerings which appear to actually be waterproof.

Not rain proof
I have had these for two years now and only use them in the summer for fishing. Yesterday (7/2/17) was the first time I got caught in a down pour. These things are horrible and I was completely soaked. Would not recommend or purchase again. I suppose they are a nice wind breaker.

Delamination issues
Delaminates after one use. Waste of money. Cold and wet for 12 hours. 🙄

Got less than 3 months use
Edit 12/04/19, I will never buy another Grundens product. I have heard nothing from Grundens. They obviously don't care about their customers. Jackett worked as expected for 3 months than the layer on the inside of the jacket started to peel and now the jacket is no longer waterproof. Edit 10/10/19 contacted grundens back in July still have not heard a response from them they have the worst customer service

Great fit and extremely waterproof with great zipper
The fit for XXL can vary so much it is not always fun to order, some hang off the shoulders so far, some are meant for mountain men, this one is great for a barrel chested person with average shoulder width. It is a little clammy feeling with short sleeves and high humidity, but actually not like the PVC suits I've used, and I didn't seem to sweat on my arms, so more of just the feel. I think with long sleeves or a little cooler than 75 degrees the suit would be perfect. As it is, I'm already quite pleased.

Be sure to check return policy on the item you order
The jacket is very nice. I ordered it for a friend in Men's 3X and it turned out to be too small around the waist, so he could not zip it. He got a different jacket in 3X in the same order, that fit just fine. Okay, so now I am looking into returning this item (which has not been worn--just tried on) and find out that it is non-returnable! Interestingly, the 2X and the 4X sizes in that jacket are returnable. We had been looking at lots of jackets the night we ordered it, so I missed that this particular size was non-returnable. I am not very happy about this! It's one thing if the policy applied to all sizes of this jacket, but it did not. Again, the jacket is of fine quality, but the return policy stinks!

:)
Fantastic jacket. Unfortunately the inside material has began to peel at the 10 month mark. It has lost its water repelancy. Please replace or refund.
