I have been using large adapters with multiple different ports. Its small compact size is brilliant for travelling. I won’t deny the build quality is exceptional. It feels and looks like a premium adapter. Obviously, the data transmission depends on your SD card, but the reader will work at the highest speed your computer can operate using that fast type c port.I do a lot of photography and take an insane amount of photos that I have to move to my computer every day. I've tried a lot of different card readers and they all worked well but most of the time they were big and full of other ports. As my MacBook only has type c ports this is the perfect, compact solution. You can import photos through the SD and microSD at the same time which a lot of other readers don't do.And it's also incredibly fast when compared to other readers, even readers that I've spent far more money on. Unfortunately, the cards don't push in and lock. They just kind of slide in. This makes it feel a little less secure but nothing too worrying. Highly recommend.Hope this review helps.

The media could not be loaded.  Excellent functionality but slight alteration to design could make it perfect. The only thing that I didn't like about this is there is no indication as to which way to place the Micro SD card in. And it is opossite to the side with the logo on which is counterintuitive in my mind.Other than that it's perfect. Great rate of transfer, speedily moving large video and image files between mu Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and a Micro SD card with no addition software or hardware. Also good transfer speeds between an Micro SD card via my PC into a standalone hard drive.It's feels well made. Sleek design and good aesthetics. And looks to be manufactured to a hugh standard using quality materials.I like the interchangeable USB heads. Clever design that works well but I did have to remove my phones case for it to access the port.

This did what we needed. My partner had a micro card but no where to insert on his laptop. With this he can put the microcard into it and use the usb on his laptop to view. Great if you don’t have a microcard slot on pc

Mostly testing with CrystalDiskMark on my PC. Used a Samsung Evo Select 256GB Micro-USB (Generally an Amazon branded one). Claimed speeds were 130MB/s (no mention of write). Actual speeds were 131MB/s read , 117MB/s write.I was quite surprised.. read the instructions and it said up to 160MB/s transfers..No mention of that on the Benfei page for this product. A normal UHS-1 card would potentially do 104MB/s read/write. But I've not seen that before.. Usually slower. Benfei do mention that but seem to be under selling themselves a bitI tested a few more "High speed" UHS-1 cards... A kingston Canvas Select go SD 256GB.. Samsung Pro Plus 256GB sd...a couple of more. And 1 standard UHS-1 card, Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB SD (Claimed 95MB/s read , 90MB/s write.The only problem I can see is transferring from SD-Micro SD is quite slow , Around 40MB/s

I am a camera enthusiast and downloading photos to my PC is a bit of a painful exercise so this simplifies things a lot. Take the card out of the camera. slot it into this reader, plug it into the PC and download. Simple and fast. No WIFI connection is involved, no cables between the camera and PC, just simple direct communication with the SD card. As with all devices of this sort just do not plug in or out when data is being transferred otherwise your card will end up corrupted. Hot-swappable is limited and cannot account for the human factor.

The first one I got had an issue with the USB A -> C adapter. When using it, just bumping the reader or its cable would cause a disconnect. The replacement (so far) does not seem to have that issue.The SD card standard for UHS-1 only specifies up to about 100MiB/s so UHS-1 cards that say they can do anything higher than that support DDR transfers at the max frequency (not part of the spec, but plenty of them do this). You won't actually get those speeds unless you use a reader that also supports it. Since it's not part of the official SD spec, they usually don't report when they do or not. I was able to get about 150MiB/s reads in this reader using a Samsung Pro Plus (that is rated for 160).I like that it supports both USB A and C (and that the adapter is built-in and you can choose when to use it and not lose it). It works well with the Steam Deck to use more than one SD card at once.Like all readers I've ever tested with two slots, it does not run at full speed when both slots are in simultaneous use (ex: you won't get 130MiB/s simultaneous read from two Evo plus cards inserted into this, you'll get a little under half for each, so more like 50MiB each... when literally accessing both at once, this doesn't apply if both are inserted but you're only accessing one of them at any given time). I don't know of any dual slot reader that gives you full speed on both simultaneously (well, or even exactly half each of what the cards are capable of).Gets warm but not "too warm" during heavy usage.

What I appreciate most about this product is the flexible cable, as I use it on a MacBook Pro 2016 with only 2 USB-C ports. I need to exchange files frequently, and the speed and convenience of using the Benefi reader have improved my productivity. This is a highly recommended product and a great value for money.
