As far as I am aware, you are supposed to transfer the ice, once made into a container and store it in your freezer.

What is the power consumption in Watts?

I have no idea I sent it back as it had a European plug and not a U.K. 3 pin plug. Not sure if that is how they all come or if there was a mix up somewhere.
