Plant Whisperer
I LOVED this book. It was so cute and so funny at parts. I loved Boris the familiar. He was so cute and he added well into the whole book. It makes me feel at home and gives me family vibes I’ve been looking for. It takes a villageHot headed Aria and hot “not billionaire” Callan make a perfect HEA.What a perfect witchy romcom. I enjoyed it a lot! ❤️🤍

A cute witchy read
I picked this up because I loved the titled.Aria isn't a strong witch. She bumbles up the simplist spells. After one incident, she runs away to London, but when her grandmothers comes to London and asks her to come back to win a contest to save their store.Charming Cove is a small village hidden from the general public. Aria must compete to win the garden. The porblem is her arch nemesis is assigned to be her partner. The man who took away her last connection with her grandfather. Now they must work together and win the garden of magical plants. This is a sweet, cute and funny story. The imagery is wonderful. It was a little slow at times, but definitely worth the read. If you love plants, sweet stories, definitely pick it up!

A Cozy, Magical Read
🦇 A Modern Girl's Guide to Magic Book Review 🦇Rating: ⭐⭐⭐❝ Funny how one could be gone from home for so long but slip right back into old rhythms upon return. ❞❓ #QOTD What type of animal would you have as a familiar? ❓🦇 Aria has accepted her fate as a magical failure--that is, until she's forced to return to her hometown of Charming Cove to save her family's potion shop in a magical competition. Her self-doubt grows when she realizes she's competing against Callan, the wealthy, powerful, all-too-handsome mage who burned her in the past. Can Aria get past her self-doubt to win the competition and Garden of Enchantment, all while ignoring the growing tension between her and Callan?💜 A Modern Girl's Guide to Magic is full of charm, laughter, and of course, magical hijinks. The protagonist, Aria, is sassy yet sweet, while her struggles with childhood bullying and questionable self-worth are both relatable (despite the magical genre). Her badger familiar, Boris, is tirelessly hungry, equally sassy, yet supportive, while Aria's makeshift family is a heartwarming delight. The worldbuilding is simple yet vivid, never stealing from the story's real plot and message. I adored the reveal regarding Aria's magic (though it was relatively obvious from the story's start). Callan is generous and sexy, though too much of his character and actions are focused on Aria, rather than his own motivations. Linsey does a wonderful job at building Aria and Callan's slow-burn relationship while focusing on Aria's character development and the competition. Aria is by far one of the most relatable magical characters I've read in a while.🦇 While the story is sweet and Aria's internal dialogue is amusing, the stakes never feel high enough. Aria's trying to save her family's potion shop while Callan is trying to build his legacy, but it doesn't feel like those motivations clash nearly enough. The flashback and explanation that Callan hadn't pursued Aria when they first met because of their age difference felt unnecessary, as did the rushed smut scene, which felt like a forced plot point. The pacing is a little slow since the stakes feel so low. Overall, it's an easy, lighthearted read.🦇 Recommended for fans of cozy magical stories; perfect for spooky season.✨ The Vibes ✨🌱 Cozy Magical Vibes🌳 Enemies to Lovers🌿 Small Town Rom-Com🪴 Dual POV🍃 First of a Series

The modern girls guide to Magic
This was the first book I read by this author . It was a lovely, cozy paranormal mystery. the characters are all great. The story has some action but it’s the relationships between friends and family that makes you want to keep reading the book.

A Light Witchy Weekend Read
Rating: 3.8 starsAria is a mess of a witch. What comes easily to her peers in the witch world is a struggle for Aria. After years of accepting her fate as a failed witch, her grandmother asks her to save their family shop. Charming Cove is a charming village hidden away in the English countryside where a community of witches thrives with their tea shops and a gorgeous magical garden. Within the garden is where Aria must compete to save her family’s shop. The only problem is her assigned competition partner - billionaire mage Callan Hawthorne. When Aria was seventeen Callan (indirectly) broke her heart and she declared him Enemy #1. Now they must work together to save the shop and win the coveted garden of magical plants. If I’m being honest, I chose this on KindleUnlimited because I thought the cover was pretty and I was happily surprised by what was inside. Linsey Hall started this quirky novel with a laugh-out-loud scene of wayward magic that sucked me right in! It did get a bit slow after this funny opening scene, but once the competition got going everything picked back up. “A Modern Girl’s Guide to Magic” is categorized as an adult romance but it read more like a YA romance with the sweeter nature of the character interactions. The biggest issue I had with this discrepancy between categorization and writing style was Aria’s immaturity at times. Some of her traits, beliefs, or choices were more akin to a teenager in a coming-of-age story rather than a woman in her mid-20s.One thing that I was not expecting from “A Modern Girl’s Guide to Magic” was the abundance of plants and I was absolutely in love! It had me wanting to go buy some witchy botany books to add some magic to my daily routine. I found myself enchanted by the magic garden and the way each plant was given a personality. While I don’t have much luck with plants, it reminded me of how some of my plant-parent friends talk about their many plants.“A Modern Girl’s Guide to Magic” is a light read for a witchy weekend!Favorite Quotes:“All living things deserve respect. Lovely story
It was a much lighter story that I am used to, but that didn't make it any less good. It's light hearted, lots of love, magic, and fun critters. What more can you ask for.

cute!!!!
All around very cute romance. The characters are emotionally mature and communicate with each other, which I love! A little bit of enemies to lovers, a competition, a young woman coming into her own, a love for plants… It’s just a good time. Can’t wait to read the other titles!
