Actinica 80 g Lotion

Changed to this from obagi matte sunsheild spf 50. I liked obagi because it was very matt but found it clogged my pores as it left residue after washing it off. Actinica isn't mattifying but it doesn't clog pores either. It is easier to wash off compared to the obagi spf. Cannot use this all over the eye area as it stings if it gets into eyes, it also manages to creep into the eyes through the day. Having said all of the bad points there are a few good points about it too... 2 pumps is the dosage needed to adequately cover the whole face and its not a huge amount which is a plus. I just rub it inbetween my hands and press over chin, forehead, cheeks and nose then rub and pat in - I personally can't rub it in for long because it sticks so pressing and patting works better for me. It does sink in slightly after around 30 mins. It's also water resistant. No new clogged pores or spots and had no other skin complaints with it either. Will buy again. Lasts quite well if only using 2 pumps on face.

i have very acne and clog prone skin and this sunscreen hasnt caused me any issues. i double cleanse after using. i used to use zelens spf 30 sunscreen which was £50 a tube and was recently discontinued. i use 1-2 pumps to cover my entire face. i am fitzpatrick skintype iv, and this sunscreen doesnt leave a white cast for me once it is fully absorbed which takes a little while, but it may leave a white cast for people with darker skin. my skin gets slightly shiny during the day but this sunscreen doesnt add to my oiliness. my skin looks plump and smooth when i use this sunscreen. i am not sure how this sunscreen works with foundation, but it works well with concealer that is spot applied, i havent experienced pilling or any other issues. i completely recommend this sunscreen.

It's a bit over priced really, but I'm someone who needs it, due to my own situation of being a transplant person, and heavily at risk factors of skin cancers, so pay the price, but the product is very good' just wish it was a little less expensive.Thank you.

This looks expensive, but you only use a little each time, and the directions are very clear about how much for different parts of the body. It is very thick cream, and the bottle has a pump dispenser. It takes a while to really soak in. I saw this featured in the Daily Mail, and it is effective on sun spots/keratosis - that is in a preventative way. I use it for this reason, it gives the best protection of any cream and prevents/reduces re-occurance. I think this will last a good long time so the £19.99 price tag is actually not too bad for a medical type product.

It is VERY thick and even though I know the protection is great, no matter how much I wanted this to work my oily skin could not cope with the texture of this cream.

Wouldn't go outside without applying it both here and abroad. My partner had to have cancer lesions removed through over sunbathing. Now we both use the cream and stay in the shade covered up. It is worth is.
