Not over powering
The sent of these was not over powering and they seem to help repel pests a lot!

I love these "incense sticks!" I stick them all around the edges of our covered patio, to keep mosquitoes away, as well as on the patio! When I get bit, I have some weird kind of reaction: it's not a 'regular' itch; it's itching like I have never known before. (This has only started this summer.) I'm serious, folks. I one time grabbed a FORK and began scratching. It left a pretty torn up spot on my ankle that took ages to heal! Anyway, sorry for digressing, but these sticks help do the trick of keeping the mosquitos off of me! (These and 7 other products 😄) Their burn-time is decent, and the smell is very pleasant. I definitely recommend these Citronella Incense Sticks!

I burn this daily with my sandalwood sticks and they work well together.

Difficult to light
Although they seem to work pretty well, mosquitos just seem to love me, getting them to START working was a bit of a chore. Once I managed to get them lit I then had to find something to put them in that would hold them up. They seemed to work better in a vertical stance then horizontally (at least I didn't have to keep moving them to make sure they didn't go out). I also needed to encircle myself with them so although the smell wasn't to bad I could certainly smell them, I just hoped the bugs could smell them too! If you are going to be stationary and not spend a whole lot of time outside these are certainly a viable option. However, the difficulty in getting them lit and then needed to make sure they stayed upright was a bit of a let down for me.

I really like these for keeping mosquitoes away this summer they are thick and burn 🔥 for a long time they really work I ordered them a second time

Hard to light
These were difficult to light and hard to keep lit. I found that if I had them angled, they burned better. Did an ok job of keep mosquitos away on the patio.
