This is a little smaller than I expected, but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. The material is a firm foam with a leather like cover. The base has velcro and includes two strips that keep the two halves from separating when in use. My toddler tends to use it as a fun way to step up and down and also as a very small slide.Overall, if you want to have some small obstacles in your play room then these are pretty fun to have and they don't take up too much space.

Hmm, not sure why they are labeled soft because they are not soft at all. I mean, they don't have bricks in them so that's good. But they are really hard cushions (if you can call them that). Don't get me wrong, these two pieces are awesome for our play area. We own several play couches from Nugget and Wild One Kids, so these are great additions to building out different play scenarios. And my child won't hurt herself if she hits her head on them. But when I initially went to step on them to check them out, I was surprised that there was no 'give' and they were so hard. Even if so, they are lightweight. So again, not soft but sturdy enough to handle play and last for a while.

These foam slide ramp blocks are the perfect addition to our toddler's play room! We have a few different types of larger foam blocks and shapes and this brand is by far the best we have added to his "obstacle course".These are sturdy and don't sag or dip a lot when he stands or sits on them so there's no unpredictable steps while he navigates these. They also have some weight to them to they won't easy flip or move if he's near the edge.They're easy to clean and overall just a great product and a great addition to any toddler's play area! The blocks are the perfect firmness -- firm enough for me to stand on, soft enough that they provide cushion and don't hurt my baby while climbing. The little mini slide is super fun for her! She likes to try to climb up the slide and slide back down.The material is super easy to clean (just wipe) and I've noticed the covers have zippers and I think they are removable. The Velcro that holds the pieces together is very strong.I like that you can use these with other sets. I have the Beginner Playset steps and these go great to accompany them. These are great on their own -- my baby loves just climbing up and sliding around -- and make a great addition to an existing set.
