Xero ShoesWomen's Xcursion Fusion - Zero Drop, Fully Waterproof Hiking Boot

I’m usually a size 41 euro. I purchased USA size 10. My first impression when I got them out was how narrow they are. I tried them on after walking for an hour wearing other barefoot shoes so my feet were about as swollen as they could be after a day hiking.Narrow without socks. Uncomfortable with hiking merino socks. There was about a cm space at the end of the shoe so regardless I will have had to return for the next size up, but it was the width which was the biggest worry.I really deliberated over the size and contacted Xero to ask how to measure your foot and how to equate the measurements to Xero sizing. The response was pretty vague and basically said to go with your normal sizing and not euro sizing.I also found it quite tight by the heal but at least there does not seem to be any movement there. I don’t find the sole to be as flexible as I imagined. The sole bends at the widest part of the toe box where your foot bends, however I am concerned the crease might seem uncomfortable after a while.Edit - I have had these on my feet for an hour - just sitting in a chair and they really are quite painful and tight. Decision made to return. How these are barefoot and wide toe box is beyond me!The look and feel of the boot is nice. It would be fine as an everyday boot, bit not a hiking boot. Just for heavens sake Xero, sort your sizing out!I will be returning this item and have just processed the return to see that I will get the refund in 14 days. Way too small for a UK size 8. I even ordered a size up and still too small. I think they must be us sizing or something even thought it only says UK sizes on Amazon. But there wasn't a woman's size up from the one I bought last, so I've not bothered ordering again.

These boots are advertised as waterproof.I have used them a total of 4 times since purchase on 01.06.23.Today, both have started to leak at the toe area of the boot - wet socks & chilly feet.At £160, I expected to get more (dry) wear from them.As they are out of the Amazon 30 day returns period, I am trying to navigate how to return them for replacement.It ain’t easy folks.Poor show all round.Extremely disappointing.

The sizing is incorrect. The label reads uk 6 and eur 38. Eur 38 is a Five not a Six

I ordered the shoes half of the size smaller, as instructed. But they look like children's ones, nothing like size 7. Why mislead customers like that? I don't have time or money to buy another pair for my trip now and I don't trust their sizes anyway.

Only 4 stars because one of the cleats or metal shoelace holders at the top cracked off as if the metal had been heavily stressed, but it was not. Walking on a wooded trail, the cleat snapped off. Otherwise, these shoes are great. Nice for hiking the AT, or anywhere wooded.

Fit was right but only if wearing a thin sock. So, I would suggest going up 1/2 size. The shoe was the most comfortable I’ve ever had. Will be buying more from this shoe company. I sent them back and got a pair 1/2 size larger!!

Comfortable, good traction, light-weight, good ankle support, well made. I got them a half a size bigger than my actual, normal shoe size and they are perfect - with socks. Nice looking. They were the only ankle support trekking shoes I could find that were also very light-weight.UPDATE:After a few weeks of trekking with these shoes I have ordered a second pair so if they go out of "style" I'll have another set for when the ones I have (and love) wear out. So far the shoes are still perfect and every day I wear them on the trails I like them even more. Really comfortable and light but the soles are thick enough so walking on sharp rocks is no problem at all. I'm glad I got a half size larger than normal; it gives my toes extra wiggling space and I added some extra support inserts.

So I love these, they are very comfortable, certainly waterproof.... but I’m giving them 3 stars because the metal hooks that the laces wrap around are not made of a sturdy material. I only wore them 3 times outside, just to garden in my yard and 2 of the hooks snapped off...... I have worn them less than 10 times so I was pretty bummed about that. I still wear them but I can’t lace them up properly.
