First time buying this. As soon as I got this I opened it and tasted it dry. I was pleasantly surprised. The taste somewhat resembles powdered milk which is no surprise since it is milk protein. All those reviewers that said this tastes terrible are picky eaters and have no tolerance for anything that doesn't taste like a chocolate sundae. I bought this because it has 2 ingredients, is whey isolate, is grass fed and no artificial sweeteners and flavors. I am looking forward to using it. This will probably be my go to protein powder. UPDATE: Its a couple months later and I am ready to order more whey. The price went up $14 since I last ordered this. I'll look for another brand. Oh well.

I make protein shakes with this powder, organic milk, and cocoa powder. It tastes really fresh and clean compared to pre-mixed products on the shelf that have fake flavorings.

When I was looking for a whey product, I went to consumer labs and this was their top pick. I love the fact that it is just whey and nothing else. There's no fillers or sweeteners in it. It dissolves really well in my smoothie and doesn't feel gritty at all. The price is high, but healthy stuff is!

I've had so much protein powder in my life (Fairlife, Costco brands, Ghost, and all the GNC brands), and this is hands down my favorite. The whey protein is nearly totally unflavored (not sickly sweet like the other stuff) and it goes extremely well with nut milks, normal milk, literally anything! The texture is also great - not grainy and doesn't taste or feel like gritty cardboard. Get this powder!

Nutricost Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate is an excellent product. When it says Unflavored, it means Unflavored. There is no taste at all. So blend it in with your favorite smoothie, for example. It is really a smooth powder and mixes very well. The ratio for me is one part whey protein isolate with four parts hemp hearts protein, plus whatever creative ingredients I wish to add. It always comes out really creamy with a very nice texture. I am trying to increase my muscle mass, so I guess it would be better if I used more whey and less hemp, but it WILL happen anyway; it will just take more time for that goal to be met since I am careful about not too much dairy (people's needs vary, of course). And the price is very fair. The only ingredients are whey protein and sunflower lecithin, and that is way cool!

We got one good bottle and then our next bottle smelled like a musty petroleum product. When we reached out they told us to throw it out without offering a replacement. When we inquired about a replacement they then changed their story to it’s fine and different smells are from the cow’s diet. This is not a slight variation in smell, this is a harsh foul smell. The fact that they changed their story when accountability was applied was very disappointing. Proceed with caution. This bottle we are about to throw out does not expire for another 14 months. They do not stand by their product and use calendar loopholes to count on people ordering before they run out and not opening the new bottle for 30 days.

This is the first protein I have tried. From research the isolate is the way to go for less calories and fat. I tried the first scoop of unflavored protein in a glass of water and no taste which was expected, but not very appealing. The 2nd day I mixed in a Liquid IV (flavored lemon lime) with ice, shook it up in a Hydro Flask which was much better but created a lot of foam. Stirring in a glass didn’t produce foam but shook up in a bottle creates foam. Let it settle since it’s doesn’t alter the taste. I wouldn’t mind trying a flavored protein but to purchase a 2 or 5lb tub is risky if I don’t like the taste. Wish they made trail packs to sample the flavors! Manufacturers, are you listening?? Also, quit wasting so much plastic! Protein only utilizes ~2/3 of tub.

i brought this last December7,2025 on my first test of half spoon in 150ml of water exactly no test by next day i trying to mix in low calorie soya milk no flavor same amount of water on my first test, on 3rd trial i mix in 1cup of water melon in half spoon unflavored whey protein so i like the taste, the taste is organic its from natural fruits, i am sure it is good for banana shake with fresh milk but i can not do this cause i have allergy in dairy. before i forget the last tips i use half spoon because this is my first time using of whey protein. buying of unflavored whey protein powder you must make your own flavored
