As a dog trainer, I use prongs with my personal dogs as well as with my clients. And I will only ever use and recommend herm Sprenger. In the past tho, I would get the traditional HS prong that wasn’t the easy on and have to recommend clients get a buckle to try to make it easier to out on and then I came across this model of HS prong. My friendly, ebullient adolescent husky LOVES to pull - whether on a harness or a leash, she's connected with her breeds roots for sure. Her prey drive - and so her lunging at small, quick animals - is also finely honed. Despite the aversion to these collars some dog trainers earlier in my life instilled, my pups' lunging was not improving much via the 'positive reinforcement-only' method. So when our trainer in a recent class recommended a Herm Sprenger prong collar - *ALONG WITH PROPER PRONG COLLAR LEASH HANDLING* - and then let us try one out in class - I was sold. Now our on-leash walks have been radically improved, with less lunging, fewer jerks (on the pups neck or my shoulders!), and way less stress across the board.I highly recommend these if other training methods or behavioral corrections haven't helped you or your pop - ONLY with safe and proper leash handling methods to go along with it.

I was happy with it for a short time my dog was listening great. But the collar. Started to fall apart in my hand. So I really dont use it anymore
