Whilst im still not sure on the colour as i come from the 70's when all public lav's had black seats the actual build quality of the seat isnt bad.The seat doesnt have much flex in it so doesnt bend under normal body weight when sat on.Its comes with two types of fixings, one a long thread that tightens via a wing bolt from underneath and the other fixing pushes in through the top of the bowl and uses an expanding plug that you tighten/expand via a screw from the top .Both fittings work on our loo but the expandable one is cleaner looking although possibly not as secure over time once the expandable plug starts to loosen due to people slamming down on the seat.The fact that it can be easily removed via a push on a button is a great touch however as it makes it so much easier to clean around it properly. The soft shut also works really well.A decent seat for the price although im not sure id go with black next time.

I recently bought a white one similar that was a little more expensive than this one and the quality appears the same. But seeing as I've redesigned my bathroom in monochrome colour scheme this black seat actually looks better than the white. It's a high gloss not like the old black seats in scools in the eighties. This is a nice looking modern designIt comes with quick release fittings and standard fittings so you have the option of both.It is a quiet slow close lid. Just tap it and it slowly closesThese seats usually last a long time under normal use it's only when someone accidentally stands on one (like I did while decorating) that they break or after years of use the fittings tend to come loose but you can replace the fittings cheaply and the seat will carry on being useable

The bottom bumpers secure the toilet from getting crushed and broken, keeping it sturdy and preventing it from wobbling.Being soft-close, smartly designed, and affordable makes me say that I find it recommendable as it is made from thick plastic. Installation was a breeze as I didn't need many tools to install it. It only took me less than 5 mins to replace my existing toilet seat. The removable seat cover makes it easier to clean. And it fits the current potty seat of my child.

This is a soft close loo seat that achieves that promise unlike some that still close with a loud noise despite making that claim. It can be fitted to both ancient and modern loos as long as the pan is shaped like this.Fitting isn’t difficult once you realise two different sets of fixings are included. Take the two apart and you can work out from the diagram what to do (this is the first one of this type I have tried to fit myself, so it was a learning curve). I now only have this type of seat fitting in the house and it makes it so much easier to clean properly as well as adjust should that prove necessary (sliding and loosening seats happen much less frequently with this fitting style, but is easily remedied if it does).The plastic used is a reasonable gauge and not flimsy like some, the soft close works and it is easy to fit if even I can do it. It comes with everything you need inside a sturdy box.
