I got to page 26 when I couldn't read anymore due to repetetive words and phrases which the writer Maya Morgan wrote in Simply The Best: Remembering Tina Turner-The 83 Pivotal Moments In My Life And Career, copywrite 2023. She uses the words Indomitable, Resilience and Determination to the point of exasperation. It's too bad as I was ready to read a good book on Tina Turners' life with all of her ups and downs during her painful young life, followed by the tumultuous years of her marriage singing with Ike Turner to establish her new found fame and success only to encounter repeated abuse and dissappointment. Finally through hard work and self discovery she was able to come out on the other side a newly established persona that in turn produced a victorious successful woman of strength. A woman who with the help of friends amongst spiritual teachings became a pillar of self reliance, stability and success through perseverance. She became a point of reference to those who needed a role model in the world of abused persons a beacon by which one could navigate through dangerous seas.Sadly this book portrays a young child already victorious in spirit and being....not so in the real world. I wish that Maya Morgan would've taken a college course in writing in order to produce a more accurate account of Tina's life.Tina Turner the Queen of Rock & Roll journeyed through the souls darkest moments coming through to the other side.... a Brilliant example of self discovery; self love and self worth.I would've given this book zero stars as it is not an easy read but tedious unremarkable and unrealistic. I will try and finish it if I can. Don't waste your money buy something written by another author.

Tina Turner was amazing. She endured more than anyone should have had to.This "documentary" was also more than anyone should have endured. It was essentially a fancy but poorly done YouTube video. Mixed with informative information was out-of-sync stock footage; some used 3, 5, or 10 times repeatedly. Example. While explaining Tina's 1990s comeback, the viewer is shown concert footage with a crowd full of iPhones held up, or a microphone on its own with a panning camera angle, or, you guessed it, another static picture of TIna from 10 minutes in..or was it 30 minutes in?Tina Turner deserves a much, much higher quality remembrance film. Stock footage, little-to-no music, and repeated re-showings of the same, out-of-timeline photos don't cut it for the Queen of Rock, Blues, and general music badassery.Godspeed Tina. We'll do better next time.

Factually inaccurate. Leaves out tie ends from one chapter to the next. I was very disappointed and sent back.

The episodes described are 83, exactly like the years of the artist. The book in about 200 pages covers the entire life of Tina Turner, also revealing some very interesting and lesser-known episodes.

I like Tina Turner very much.I have always listened to her and always will.Her passing left me so sad and I wanted to get this book.Well written, well done. And a eulogy to an incredible artist and woman. One of the most beautiful women of our century for me. A sensational artist with a voice that has been with me for years now and I am happy about that.
