OK for Light Reading
One of her older works where she spends quite a bit time telling the background story of the cops who bring the culprit(s) to justice. She doesn't do this AS much in her later books. This book was unsatisfying because of the ending. It just ends abruptly - and she had to have known that right from the very beginning, that it wasn't going to be tied up in tidy little bows. You come to totally dislike the antagonist, which isn't always the case with Ann Rule's characters.

Riveting
A great real life adventure featuring the Hollywood Robber, Scott Scurlock, son of a preacherman, all happened in my backyard. I rooted for the bandit the entire time. Sorrowful ending. An extraordinary lifestyle involving intense work environment then vacation time in foreign islands, with devoted friends who built him a fantasy world tree house. $2,300,000 in 4 years. What more would any self respecting male want out of life? Read almost all Rules books. This was by far the best.

Ann Rule Rules!
Brilliant. True life crime as reported by Ann Rule. Most of it sad but it's a real eye-opener and gives fascinatingly detailed insight into stories I've actually seen on TV. Ann has worked in the area of law for many years and now writes about crime in a knowledgeable way. I really enjoyed this collection of stories.

Enjoyed the book
I enjoyed the book, as I always do Ann Rule. Half way through I realized I had already head the main story before, but it was well written and so I continued on and read a second time.

Another Ann Rule classic
The main story was quite amazing - the background was also very interesting. Just amazing how someone can get away with this type of crime for so long. Well written -more like the Ann Rules that I liuke to read.
