DC Power Jack Harness Cable Replacement for Dell 15 3551 3552 3558 Series, Part Number: 450.030060001

Wasn't my problem, but direct replacement for Dell Inspiron 3552. "Plugged in, not charging" was the original problem that went away by uninstalling the battery and AC adapter drivers. After a few months of repeatedly uninstalling the drivers it didn't recognize the power adapter. Bought a new adapter. Didn't recognize that one either, so I bought this replacement jack. After disassembling the whole laptop just to replace this little jack it still didn't recognize either adapter and won't charge the battery. Found out that Windows 10 updates sabotaged my OS and cannot be fixed since it also deleted all restore points. I asked for Windows 8 to be installed, but along with screwing up my initial order, someone from India tried credit card fraud, so I had to wait for a new card, spent over 4 hours reordering, and I got a bloatware laptop with Windows 10. And now it's completely worthless, since it won't operate properly, except on the battery that I cannot charge. Dell tech support sucks - after finally getting someone I could understand I was told the only thing left to do was to reinstall the OS. $$$$

The Geek Squad turned me away and told me I'd have to send my five-year old laptop to Dell for repair because the damaged power port/jack would require soldering a new one to the motherboard. Thanks to Bay's replacement jack and cable harness and to a DIY video on YouTube, however, I was able to repair my favorite laptop myself, a good thing because all of the computer repair shops in my area are too busy fixing broken screens on smart phones. It took me several hours--the $80 professional installation sounds like a fantastic deal--but now my laptop is as good as new. I'm very happy the Bay replacement part, which is identical in every way with the original Dell part, was available to fix the one glaring design flaw on my Dell Inspiron. I'm nearly 70 years old, and it was a thrill to see my dear laptop roar back to life after it was plugged in!

This is the second jack I installed on my pc. First jack stopped working. Both installs went well. I was surprised to see when I opened the pc that the jack was broken on the inside. See my attaches photos. I emailed the co. And attached the photos explaining it looked like a manufacturers defect. They say they will respond back to you in 24 hours. Going on 72 hours now still no response. Too bad. The jack seemed well made but who knows how long this repair will last. As you can see from the pix No excessive wear and tear on the outside of the jack. The wire Inside detached.Been over a week now. Still no response from seller. So much for the excellent customer service they claim to have.

I have a Dell Inspiron 3558 laptop and I have been getting a message that the computer was unable to determine charger type and the battery would not charge. I replaced the charger awhile back and the problem still happened, just not as often. The other day it stopped charging altogether and the jack was loose because the small tab that holds it in was broken. I ordered this jack and replaced it myself, now the computer charges like it's supposed to.

Used this to fix my daughter's Dell Inspiron that had broken when dropped and the power supply was not being recognized. Perfect match on length of cable, size and connectors. Charges properly now.

Used it to charge spare power cell. Short length was what was desireable. But stopped working. I usde about q0 times over a couple of months.

Needed this for a customer they could have got it them selves but you need to know your way around the inside of a laptop to do this.

Does exactly what it was made to do. Perfect replacement and saved me a ton on repair costs.
