Unknown [DVD] [2011]

Good film

DVD arrived undamaged and in good working order. Great film.

Not boring. Very good. I recommend.

We were watching a friend's copy of Unknown when the DVD jammed 3/4 of the way through. I was straight onto my laptop to order a replacement from Amazon, we just had to finish watching this movie asap. An original plot and gripping unfoldment, with Liam Neeson doing a great job - first class entertainment!

This is edge of your seat stuff, with Liam doing what he does best and taking out taking down the Bad Guys. An action packed, adrenaline fuelled thriller with strong support and great acting from his female co star. Highly recommended, just remember to fasten your seat belt.

I do find it distasteful and a bit unnecessary when the assassin types casually kill minor characters that marginally get in their way. Can't they just render them unconscious? Anyway, apart from that I was really hooked with this film that kept you guessing with the usual immaculate performance by Liam and great support by January Jones and Diane Kruger.Leaving his wife at the hotel to dash back to the Berlin airport for his forgotten briefcase and passport, he is involved in a car crash in which the taxi driver we later know as Gina (Diane Kruger) saves his life from the river. After being in a coma for 4 days he wakes with bits of his memory missing though is aware that he's Dr Martin Harris there to speak at a biotech conference. Or is he? His alleged wife, Liz (January Jones) doesn't recognise him and she's already with her husband, Dr Martin Harris and so his nightmare begins. More and more incidents and action unfold and I was kept 'in the dark' till the last reel leading to, for me, a totally unseen twist while throwing in a decent slice of redemption.

As an action/thriller it's entertaining and easy on the brain while you are watching it, but it loses a star due to the story not standing up to the briefest post-viewing reflection (too many things about the villainous plot simply couldn't work in reality - e.g. do universities never look at what is on their own websites?).As long as you stop thinking about it the moment the credits roll it's fine though, the momentum carries you along.While watching it the funny thing is the long succession of other movies it constantly reminds you of. "Taken" of course (but this is better, because its far less unpleasant and not borderline-racist), but also that Harrison Ford one when his wife goes missing in Paris, and another movie that I can't mention because it would be a spoiler.Main thing I take away from it though is that there's a decent-sounding DJ remix of Blue Monday out there that I don't have and which doesn't seem to be available anywhere!

C'est un film d'action. Liam Neeson est parfait dans ce rôle. Accompagné de Diane Kruger, ils forment un duo parfait ! La fin est juste au top ! Le coffret est de qualité pour un Blu-Ray.

This movie totally surprised me.....i never thought yet another movie filmed on an airplane could turn out this good....had it all action suspence and intrigue.......loved it one of the better movies i seen in awhile

Moi sincèrement, j’ai adoré !!! C’est une histoire vraiment top , ce film vous prend au tripes dés les premières minutes et le suspense durant tout le film !Vous pourrez souffler à la fin du film et image blu-ray génial !
