Is there enough wire coming from the bridge pu to hook it up to a push-pull tone pot?

I'm pretty sure there would be enough wire for that.

Are the pots 250k or 500k?

The pots are 250k. They are long shaft.

Could the humbucker coils be split to have it sound as a single coil with the pickup selector?

Usually it's done with a push pull tone knob or a 4 or 5 way switch. search for a wiring diagram to see how it's done.

Does this get muddy, neck pup, (lose the highs) as soon as you turn the volume pot down from full?

...add a treble bleed to circuit,it wont be a problem....
