The first time Smoothepro released an erasable pen, I purchased it and loved it. I saw this 2nd generation pen and snatched it up. I'm so glad I did. It's thicker than the first one, and lighter, so it's so comfortable to write with.

Great upgrade to the excellent Pilot FriXion system. Their pens/cartridges are great, but while the clicker version is a decent pen, it doesn’t feel high end by any means. This makes it have some weight, feels good in the hand, and looks professional. The dimensions are ever so slightly thicker than most pens, but barely. It is a bit longer (maybe .5 inch / 12.5 mm); but doesn’t feel oversized when using it. Technically the FriXion refills should fit in any Pilot G2 compatible body, but this one has the proper eraser on the end (and comes with a spare in the box). Makes my FriXion every day carry feel much nicer.

I use red Frixon pens to mark up drawings. I had purchased replacement ink cartridges, but the original plastic body was coming apart. This is an nice upgrade. Feels nice in the hand. The action is a little gritty sometimes, but generally I'm pretty happy.I do wish there were some instructions on taking the thing apart and replacing the eraser, but overall I'm pretty satisfied.

Feels nice and sturdy, comfortable to write with. But I didn’t notice when ordering that the “click” mechanism to extend or retract the point is awkward for a lefty. Not a deal breaker, and I still use it. But I wish there was a left handed version or the mechanism was more neutral at least. The motion to lock the point out in position to write is just awkward for a lefty, you thumb the button down and then have to pull backwards to lock it out - it’s not convenient or natural to how you hold the pen normally. Otherwise I do really like the weight and feel of the pen when writing.

Really like this pen I now have 2 and use it everyday, the fact that you can put Frixion carts in is a huge sell for me. My one rub is I am unable to find replacement erasers. They do not say in place very well. If I could get the eraser replaced I would have the pens for a very long time.

Gel ink (not ballpoint) and won't erase fully no matter how light-handed you write or how many times you go over it with the eraser. Also the gel ink does not flow evenly, so there are light and dark marks.

Not smooth at all.

This pen is everything that I hoped and expected it would be. The bolt action was a bit rough and a bit squeaky, but a few drops of dry lube sorted that out very quickly (I used dry lube for a bicycle chain, but any PTFE/Teflon based lube will work). Now the bolt action feels super smooth and is very satisfying fidget with.
