My sponges fell apart in no time with screen cleaner chemicals, but these apply them just fine, convenient and effective. I don't have a spritzer so use a square dish to put some of the desired chem and dip the scrubber into it so i don't apply too much and waste it. By dipping, the open structure will grab only what it can without dripping (which is what I got by pouring from the jug onto the scrubber)
