DO NOT BUY THIS SLOP!! - WORST. MEAT. PERIOD.
Writing this review even though Amazon did right by me and refunded my entire order. HOWEVER, I’m compelled to post this in the hopes that someone out there will read this and never buy this product and in the hopes that Grumpy butcher will improve its product. 1. The steaks were insanely overpriced relative to the quality of beef that I got. What I should have gotten was the 2% of USDA steak. I got the bottom 2% quality steak. 2. If they were flask frozen, then why did they show up as a sloppy bloody grisseley mess. By the time I washed all the slime and blood off of the steak I was left with the mushiest off-cut of beef I’ve ever seen. Irony is it was so mushy you’d think it would cook up tender. Nope. Opposite. 3. When cooked to a medium rare, it was almost inedible it was so tough to chew. Zero taste, zero texture other than tough grissle and fat. 4. Finally, I licked this up less than an hour after delivery and it was thawed through. No dry ice, just two gel packs. Again, Amazon gave me a refund, kudos, but this product is the absolute worst. I should have known better based on the brand name Grumpy Butcher.

First and last order.
If you like tough steaks then these are for you and make sure you have a very sharp steak knife because you will need it. The steaks may be 6 Oz as advertised but they are not as pictured; They were thin and the meat was folded over to make them seem thicker than they actually are. The next time I order steaks it will be from the people in Omaha.

Great quality meats. Although a bit pricey, the burgers are very delicious.

Partially defrosted delivery.
Steaks delivered early 3 of them were half defrosted. One flay was almost completely defrosted 1 flay was half defrosted. Both ribeyes were 1/4 defrosted, frosted. The New York strips were frozen. I'm just going to eat the 2 steaks right away. I'm just disappointed. In the delivery, a story about the quality will come soon.
