Good OEM replacement

My daughter was visiting us and had a check engine light come on in their 2013 Malibu. The code scan indicated that there was a problem relating to the oil pressure control for the variable timing. Since they needed to return home ( a 14 hour drive) in a couple of days we decided to tackle the problem here. We ordered this solenoid valve from Amazon with overnight delivery by 7 am, installed it, got the code cleared by a local shop and they were on their way. Seems to have resolved the problem.

Cleared the check engine light

I replaced this on a friend's Chevy Malibu. They had paid a shop to diagnose a check engine light. They replaced the oil pressure switch but I scanned it and showed this was the part that needed to be replaced. I changed the part and the check engine light went away without me even having to clear it.
