KEEN UtilityMen's Reno Mid Height Composite Toe Flexible Waterproof Athletic Work Boots

Heavy Duty.
I am a big advocate of Keen footwear. Their broad toe area is comfortable and adequately supportive of my approaching octogenarian feet. These boots, for me were initially somewhat difficult to “get on”. However, after purchasing on Amazon a long reach steel shoe horn, the difficulty was substantially reduced. The shoes are warm, waterproof and structurally sound. Good for winter snow throwing and ankle support on rough ground.

Awesome boots.
So it's 5 star but 4 because I haven't gotten them wet to test the waterproofing. But day 1 like walking on clouds. Comfortable, hardly tell it has carbon fiber toe. Price dropped $40 So I jumped on it. I've had keen before 2nd pair been awhile. Boots fit to what I normally wear and I have an order wide fitment as well.

Actually waterproof, and comfortable to walk long distances.
The media could not be loaded. Best boots I've had in many years. I walk a mile from my jobs parking lot each way, with another 2-4 at work, on concrete, and these are as comfortable at 5pm as they were at 4am. I normally wear a 14 E or 14-1/2, so bought the 15 D. I couldn't be happier....unless they weren't green.

The Upgraded Version Of The Ridge Flex
I love the Ridge Flex boot. It goes on fast, fits well, plenty of room, laces close tight, and the boot is light. It's a polarizing design due to the Flex bellow; some people hate it, but I love it, especially in my line of work (driving full time). The problem with the Ridge Flex is it isn't slip or oil resistant. I nearly fell several times because the tread doesn't grip slick surfaces AT ALL. That's where the Reno comes in. As you can see in my photo, the Reno is nearly identical in design to the Ridge Flex; in my opinion, the lacing system is even better and the material is more durable than the Ridge Flex. ALWAYS go up a HALF size if you use orthotics and other inserts. As for weight, this is critical to hip, knee, and other joints: it sounds silly, but a boot beyond 30 ounces each WILL affect things you never thought possible. I have a digital good scale, and the weight with orthotics and Odor Eaters Ultimate inserts on the Ridge Flex is 23 oz per boot; the same scenario on the Reno is 28 oz per boot. This means including the Carbon Fiber toe, you only have a 5 oz difference AND oil/slip resistance among other features. I will be buying another pair in a different color.

Very comfortable and solid
These are really comfortable work boots. Ithey did not take much breaking in and look and feel great, they have a flexible portion above the toes so if you are leaning down with your toes on the ground and your heels off the ground the boot flexes nicely. I have to go through metal detectors at work daily and these boots do not set the metal detector off so that is a huge bonus not having to remove them. I have not worn them in the mud or rain, so i will update if necessary. But they are good on ladders and commercial roofs, they are not slippery at all.

Good work boot
This is a nice work boot, light weight, breathable, and durable. I would recommend getting a good quality pair of insoles.

Comfortable and sturdy.
I only ever buy Keen work boots because I like the wide toe area. I’ve probably had five or six different boots, a couple of which I’ve had to send back because I could feel the toe protection digging into my toes or the shoelace eyelets broke easily. These ones are built better and are great for long term standing.

I wanted to like them for the $140 price...
I think the measurements in this batch of boots is off.I measure a size 10.5 Wide and so I ordered 11 Wide to make room for the composite toe.Previous years I learned to go a size up for cheapo steel toes. However these don't fit right at all, I had to force my foot into the boot even with the laces loose. My feed would always slide to the front and hit the toe, even after re-lacing them to lock them to my ankles.I am also concern as the tops appear to be just a plastic or cheap fiber poly blend that would not last through a summer of exposure. If you remove the insoles that come with the boots you'll see there is no padding at all.Other than that, the Wide size felt right, it hugged my feet, squatting in them I felt supported. The Non Slip sole was also great, but will squeak on most modern fake hardware plank flooring.
