As an experienced bee keeper I THINK THIS IS A BRGAIN AT A GREAT PRICE Everything came as shown. Every one of the 100 pieces of the frames fit without need of any adjustment, and those complaining about nails, no nails required, just use wood glue. As for the windows, I have had other boxes with glass windows that I liked, so I hot melt glued glass on he inside. Otherwise either don't open them or pay more $ for another box without windows. At 44 pounds it shipped free across country in 7 days.

Overall this hive box will do the job. But there are a few things that weren't ideal. It did not come with any plexiglass for the window. So I had to improvise with a piece of plastic for the window otherwise the bees would just fly right out when you open the viewing window. The dovetails are not accurate I had to sand down many of the connecting pieces to get them to fit together and shim three other dovetails because there was an 1/8" gap. It is nice and tight though no glue or screws or nails needed. There's also too much space inside the box after adding the 10 frames. It could almost fit 11 frames. I plan to use a thin flat hanging board/frame that I received from a different shipment to slide up against the last frame to eliminate that extra space and to deter the bees from drawing out the comb too far. All of the box pieces have been dipped in wax so no need to paint.

The box was nicely waxed but the frames are all loose. They cut the pieces so loose the joints and foundation don't fit well.I assembled the hive frame and they all 8 out of 10 came apart in my hands even with no bee / honey on it.Wonder how it'd be if ladened with honey. I was ready to return when friend gave me a temp solution.Glue or nail i am not confident recommending it.

Honestly me and my girlfriend put this together in no time. Didn't need the help, but it was nice to have. Purchased stainless steel nails for the frame. I used an inch nail and worked great. The entire thing looks great not going to lie. I doubt I use the door window thing much. As you open and close it it loosens the screws holding it so it's kinda a gimmick. Probably would have been better to use nut and bolt if they wanted to go that route. Overall for the price it's a good product.

The super came broken down and tightly packed. The foundation is excellent and the frames were standard but cut well. The only issues I have are the quality of the dove joints and no nails. My super actually rattles, the dovetail joints are loose. I did not need my mallet, I just put them together by hand. I could not use this as it sits. I will glue to fill the joints and nail them. I could not find any contact information on the website.

Been looking for boxes with observation windows like the flow hive. Thought this was it. But there is only one viewing window for each box, not both sides and no plexiglass for the viewing windows. So kind of pointless.Second point, no nails to assemble frames or screws to assemble boxes.Entrance reducer is standard basic.Lots of wax coating on everything.Will wait to assemble later.

It was fast and fun to assemble and the exterior of box was waxed and ready for weather. Would highly recommend!

I originally gave this a 1 star but am changing my review to a 4 star. Have since purchased more. Only 4 stars due to the following: What they call windows are actually just doors. There is no plexiglass or glass so it is just like opening up the hive. I used nails & screws to keep boxes together. Windows are pretty much useless since they are just doors plus they do not fit very tight on the boxes. Need to install your own plexiglass to use the doors as windows. Other than the above, overall a good hive.
