I was hesitant on these but I also didn't want to have to sit there and buy sand because the filter I have likes to put sand into the pool. They work fine. I have found that I needed to use about 3/4 of them to fill my filter and have it work properly. Half a bag just wasn't enough. Basically, I had to fill up my entire filter with them and then I worked fine which is somewhat unfortunate just because I was expecting to have kind of like a spare set but that's fine. I have found that they work better after they have been washed because they seem to open up a bit more.At the end of the day, I spent less than I would have on filter sand and in theory I should be able to use these next year also.

These have worked well for the pool filter.

I have used luster balls for the last 3 years. Washed them at the end of the season, popped them back in at pool opening -- worked like a charm. This year, I decided to get new ones. Luster balls were on back order, so I tried these. Within a day of replacing them, the water turned cloudy, despite running the filter 12h/day with the chlorinator on. They have a smooth texture, compared to the fuzzy Luster balls, are smaller and seem to just let water run around them rather than through them. The recommended number pf packages was also off -- I ordered 3.5 lbs for the equivalent of 70lbs of sand -- ended up needing to add some of the old fuzzballs back because the recommended quantity was simply not enough. Now I'm online looking to order Luster balls to get my pool back in shape at a time when we need it most...

These keep my pool really clear and clean. It does take a while to clean the balls. I recommend once a month. If you want a cheaper option other than sand, I would recommend this.

Don't buy the white ones! For some reason these blue ones work much better! Love these! Super easy to use and so much more convenient!

Do just what it says, was pleased with it, and being able to wash them makes it even better.

The media could not be loaded. I do not like getting something with absolutely no instructions on how to handle it I know you had something online but that still does not explain what got sent to me. I really do want to try these little sand balls but I really need some answers like pronto. Well I didn't see any answers so I went ahead and took all the balls out of the bag and then shove them into the sand filter tank and I sure hope that's what you're supposed to do it cuz that's the way I did it and so far so good looks good water is a little cloudy though so I'm going to see what's going on with that
