This worked better than the rings that came with the CV Boots and they are still staying attached unlike all the previous times I tried different products.

This item has alot to be desired. This kit has two different types of tools. The clamps that come with the set is for only one of the tools. The clamps are for crimping tool. The other is for the pull and fold over. The crimping tool is an unfinished, probably factory reject. It's junk, useless. I had to take a drimel tool and files to it to make it work. I made the mistake of ordering the tool and let it sit for over a month. I couldn't return it. The tools and clamps are all trash. Buy name brands. They even have two different pictures of the clamps . The first picture you click on to enlarge it's a different clamp. The clamps that come with the CV boots are the worst. But you do truly get what you pay for. I am a fool.

This is a very nice cv banding kit, as they include both types of band clamps in it. Pros: Very easy to use and works well. I didn't have a issue with the band quality or it missing prongs. The bands included are for the clamping tool not the other one. Cons: Honestly the only con I have is the issue with the clamping tool. For some reason design wise they have a metal bar on the tool that prevents you from being able to actually clamp and tighten the band. However all you have to do is unscrew the nut holding the tool together and slide that piece off and put the tool back together and it works perfectly fine. I'll include a picture of the part in referring to and how the tool looks after it's removed.

As a package it is good, but only comes crimp type clamps. The crimp tool isn't properly designed to grab the crimping section, it would just slip, instead of crimping and tightening the clamp on boot.

My project was a 01 arctic cat 300 4x4,, The cv Boots I ordered come with the smooth type banding, So I ordered this kit since it had the tool... I am Glad that I was not using the hole type banding and that tool for it, the Banding with holes that come in the kit seam alright quality but the tool for it Is not usable, It is like the center part that moves don't move any where near enough, The tool literally don't have the room to set fully down on the clamp to crimp, I even went to youtube to double check cause i could not believe it would not do such a simple task.. So If you need the tool for non hole type banding tool that worked just fine. Just save your self some money and get just that tool the rest of this kit is junk
