Goodmans GDSB02BT20 20W 2.0 Speaker Bar Theatre System

Did some research before I bought this as wanted something cheap and cheerful to improve sound from a TV. I was looking for something easy to use and with Bluetooth connection that wasn't expensive. The Goodmans bar fit the bill for me perfectly.My TV is on the wall with all the cables hidden inside the the wall so I needed to buy a Bluetooth sender for the TV. Sadly this worked out a terrible idea as it kept dropping the signal (nothing to do with the sound bar) so I then had to go to Plan B. Luckily, I'd put in audio cable in the wall when I installed it and connected this to the line in on the sound bar and all been working fine since.Connection wise, you have the above mentioned line in, two phono jacks and of course blue tooth. There's no optical or HDMI connection, which I was aware of and not to be expected at this price point. I've used all three of the connections and all worked perfectly fine. The bluetooth connection on the iPhone was very easy to set up and get working, as were the others.Sound quality from the bar is very good for the price. It's not going to blow you away (literally as no subwoofer!) but it's far better than most TV's. The only issue I had was with the source from the TV being at different levels. Sky would be normal, but my media centre may be low so had to to keep adjusting the sound on the TV. I eventually set the sound bar up loud and reduced via the TV.The remote control was basic, but I use a universal remote and that worked fine as only use volume and power on it.Comes with wall mounting template and screws but I didn't use.While there are other sound bars that are more powerful than the 20w that this provides, and while other sounds bars may offer more features you would pay significantly more for them. This has the majority of connections to most devices and gives decent quality sound at one of the best prices around.Highly recommended

I bought this as it was cheap and my other much older speakers had finally broken. I didn't expect it to be great but thought I'd use this temporarily until I could afford something better. Well I must say I had the shock of my life when I opened the box to this. It's really good quality. Comes with all the wires you could need. It doesn't have Bluetooth but come on, how many people are going to use it. If I want to connect my phone to this it does have a wire to do so. I know I won't be using it. I got this for great sound from my TV and that's exactly what I now have. The remote is a little small and flimsy but it's not a big deal. For the price and quality I've got myself a bargain. If you just want good sound on your TV for a great price look no further. Plus it's so easy to set up. Delivery was quick. Couldn't be happier.

It does what it claims to do : amplifies the sound from my Samsung TV by replacing the TV speakers. After a bit of fiddling about I realised I had to plug in the single plug on the end of the supplied cable to the side of the soundbar, not the red and white ones, and plug t'other end into the headphone socket on the TV. Once I had disabled the TV's own speakers using the Samsung remote it was fine. Not the highest quality sound, but adequate for the money. Needs to be in standbye mode when the TV is switched off unless you like the irritating low pitched buzz it emits when the TV is off.

Good value sound bar with reasonable sound if you want to upgrade the audio on a cheap TV.This is easy to set up if your TV has red and white audio output sockets or a 3.5 mm headphone socket, however, I found that when using the headphone socket I got some background hum interference.I did not connect to the TV but into the red and white audio input at the back of my sky box and I think this gave a better sound.The remote is fairly basic but does the job.It is not the smallest, sleekest unit on the market but does not look out of place in front of a 32" TV.If the main reason for buying this soundbar is to listen to music through the Bluetooth connection and you want to annoy the neighbours and make the windows rattle then I would go for the 50w version for a few more pounds.

Plugged it into the headphone jack of my Toshiba 42 inch and that was that..set up complete! Sound no longer came out of the puny little speakers at back of the tv. Bar produces good audio with decent range. ..some afficionados with highly tuned ears with probably pick out little flaws, but I just want something to watch movies with that has half decent sound. Because my tv speakers are on the back of the tv, it means the crappy sound from them first moves away from me, hits the neighbors wall and eventually bounces back into the room. I usually have to turn the volume up quite high just to hear the dialouge. This bar is the same width as my tv. It sits at the Base of my tv and ALL the better quality sound is directed straight out into the room. Can have the volume lower and still hear more. ..and don't have to worry about shaking the neighbors wall:-) Does decent job for decent price. Easy to set up. Comes with head phone jack and red/ yellow cables for other audio connection if you wish. Also has little remote that allows you to change bass, treble, and select settings like voice, movie, music etc.

I really like the sound from this sound bar. I looked at loads of different ones before making this purchase and I'm glad I bought this one. Connecting via Bluetooth is simple and I currently have the tv plugged into it. I purchased some slightly better Aux in cables just for that extra quality but for the price this is a really nice unit. It has a maximum volume to prevent damage to the unit and once setup just use the volume on your TV as normal without touching the sound bar. For price the spec is good. Very happy with this item and would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade there sound options in the living room.
