I have now seen this event again and will amend anything i feel i need to. What can you say about such an odd event? It was clearly an event to shock and surprise,but most of the matches were just odd.We start off with a long promo for an event we're already watching,seriously,it is 20 minutes before any actual wrestling,this is a wrestling event,right? A really good first match though,match,a tag team championship match,a 4 way with GOLDUST and STARDUST vs THE USOs vs MIZ and SANDOW vs LOS MATADORES. It has enough action to satisfy as an opener and give us a promising start,though saying that,i hated the end. I stand by this,good match,bad finish.Next we have an 8 diva's elimination tag match,a bit of a mess really. The team of NATALYA,EMMA NAOMI and ALICIA FOX take on PAIGE,CAMERON,LAYLA and SUMMER RAE. I don't know if PAIGE has upset WWE bosses,but they clearly did her no favours with this match. I won't spoil the end,but she deserves a lot better than this treatment being one of the best DIVAs in years. I was a bit disgusted by it. Okay,not an awful match,but PAIGE deserves better.Now we have DEAN AMBROSE vs BRAY WYATT. There is some fairly good action here,but the match is way too short and afterwards becomes a shameless promo for TLC. Still say it was too short for this feud,but it lasted longer than i first remembered,though i stand by the rest of my opinion.Next we have ADAM ROSE and a BUNNY,yes we really have a man in a bunny suit wrestling,they face SLATER GATOR. Perhaps it's one for the kids,but i saw it as a joke. Too short to even go into the action.Next AJ lee is up for some disgusting treatment from WWE bosses as she has a blink and you'll miss it title match against NIKKI BELLA. Sorry but even a lesbian kiss couldn't save this from being a stupid senseless shock. My opinion has not changed on this joke of a match.Clearly the only match the WWE cared about is this,the main event as THE AUTHORITY has it all on the line going against TEAM CENA. We have JOHN CENA,BIG SHOW,DOLPH ZIGGLER,RYBACK and ERICK ROWAN facing TRIPLE H's team,RUSEV,SETH ROLLINS,LUKE HARPER,MARK HENRY and KANE. This is an elimination match,a very impressive one,but a bit odd.it is clear WWE only wanted the fans to get into this match with any real enthusiasm,because it goes with the control of the wwe storyline. A shock first elimination gives a moment for the fans to roar about and there are a few other shocks too,plus some very odd eliminations. Injecting so many shocks into all the action certainly makes it clear how important this match was and ZIGGLER shines like he should,a top talent indeed. A have nothing against the action of this match,but if only they put some of the enthusiasm that was in this into some of the other matches too. It screamed WE ONLY CARE ABOUT THIS MATCH.Then of course the big shock of the evening,the arrival of a legend,his debut appearance in the wwe. I won't say who at the moment as it might spoil it for those who don't yet know. My problem with this is that the staredown between this guy and TRIPLE H went on for so long any injured guy in the ring had plenty of time to recover. I couldn't help but wonder if they honestly thought we needed that long to realise this guy has finally debuted. Okay,yes i understand how important this guy's arrival was,but it really wasn't that much of a shock as there have been promos of various things with his name attached,so his big arrival was just a case of YEP,HE'S HERE as far as i'm concerned. Sorry,but i really don't see how it was a big shock,we knew he was coming soon. Plus,the staredown did seem to go on without the fallen rising.So an event to remember yes,but for me for the wrong reasons. Too preoccupied with shocks and surprises and next to no care for the matches other than a top main event. Sorry,but a top main event doesn't save an event this ridiculous.I was left shaking my head bemused at what i had just watched. Upon watching again,i stand by my overall opinion,very odd.
