My 5-year old grandson loves taking pictures. This is perfect for him. It’s for sure not a high quality camera but perfect for a 5-year old.

Considering everyone carries a phone with a much higher quality camera already I'm not sure what the intended purpose of this would be besides letting a kid use it and for that purpose it would be perfectly fine.It's by no means a high quality camera but they don't claim that it is so as long as you understand that it's not bad.I attached a couple of photos straight out of the camera, not edited at all. For such a tiny sensor is does an okay job, outdoors is best where there's plenty of light. I used the "auto" mode to shoot a 30 minute time lapse and it did a good job of it.In video mode a 75 second 4k file is about 160 Mb but the issue with video is, no image stabilization at all and unless you're using this on a tripod you're going to have shake videos that are almost unwatchable. The other tricky part is that it doesn't have continuous auto focus so once you get focused if you walk around it doesn't work very well. You half press the shutter to focus and because of that it makes me wonder how much use it would be for kids? I'm not sure they're going to remember to half press and focus before every photo because it takes a couple seconds to acquire focus.I also learned you can't plug this into an Apple computer with USB to offload the files because it isn't detected but removing the SD card and plugging that in is easy enough. I can charge it through a USB on the Apple though. It came with two batteries but they only charge while inserted into the camera.It did work as a webcam plugged into the computer but it's terrible quality. In my tests this camera just isn't going to cut it for any kind of video. As a photo camera it does okay just be aware of it's limitations.The only other thing I would wonder about is if this is designed with kids use in mind, I'm not sure how well it'll hold up being dropped or any kind of moisture getting on it. It's all plastic.

I purchased this for my Birthday Party to take photos come in and it didn't work had to return it can't say if it was a good camera or not cause it didn't work

It’s a very cute camera but I do think it should be labelled that it’s good for children. It’s noted that this is a beginner camera, and though I am not a beginner user I wanted an inexpensive camera I could take on a trip next month that would take high quality images easily without relying on my phone. This camera is not it. It’s very stylish, yes. But it feels very much like a toy. The lens doesn’t move, it’s cheap feeling plastic, and the photo quality is some of the worst I’ve seen in the last 10 years. My husband, who has never even been one to use cameras saw one of the pictures and asked why the photo was so pixelated. The reasons I’m giving this camera as high as a 3/5 is for a couple reasons. This would be a great beginner camera….for maybe a 6-12 year old. And second, it comes with everything you need to get started. It’s rare any camera would come with a memory card and two batteries. It eliminates the need of buying extra supplies. And for that reason, I still think the $50 price point is reasonable. Bottom line: this is not the camera I’d rely on to capture important memories but it’s functional enough for learning. There are better quality cameras for $50, but you will spend more money on extra supplies in getting started. Keep in mind, if you want higher photo quality opt for the latter option.

I got this for my 8-yr old so he can take pictures of whatever he wants without needing my cell phone! It's easy to use - very self explanatory. It take good enough pictures for his purposes. Good value for sure.
