What did I do??
Just for fun I built a 512GB mirrored drive for my Macbook Pro. I removed the plastic (voiding the warranty) and stuck a heatsink on them. I covered the electronics on the other side with an insulator just because, and ta-da! A small, removable, fast, (mirrored) drive that perfectly matches the two USB-C ports on the right side of my Mac.I have a Seagate NAS, and numerous external SSDs, so is this a great idea? Maybe? Still, it functions flawlessly, it’s fast, and was a fun experiment.

Impressive
Left in pocket, went through washer and dryer and it still works without issue. Happy about that. I don't like how slow it is. 120mb/s is slow. Another plus is it's made is Taiwan

Doesn't work very good, slowest drive
I just received this drive last night. I bought this drive for its size and price to put some data on for travel, on a vacation that I am going on. I researched various drives and found this drive. It claims that it is USB-C 3.1, 256GB and Made In Taiwan, which are all good signs. The drive is nice, small and light. The USB-C connector came slightly bent, so it sticks out of my computer at an angle. This USB-C drive can only be plugged in 1 way!!! I tried this on multiple computers. If you flip the drive over and insert (which you can do with USB-C), you will get an error that the drive can't be recognized (see picture). I went to copy some data which is various PDF files and some video files, and the copy speed is the slowest I have seen in decades! You can copy to a USB 2.0 spinning drive faster than this thumb drive that is supposed to be 3.1. I did try to run a speed test on it to post here but 3/4 of the way through the test, I got an error that it lost connection to the drive for some odd reason. I know that this drive was not expensive, but it wouldn't be worth a dollar if it was sold at the dollar tree. Complete junk and a waste of time. Read/Write speeds comparable to a floppy. Useless USB-C connector because it still can only be plugged in one way. I did try on multiple computers to verify, it is junk. I'm going to return it. I hope this helps someone from going through the same trouble.

Good value for the money
I have a number of these microcenter flash drives and they work well and pretty durable. The fan boys on YouTube think you're an inferior species for using microcenter flash drives, but the fan boys get sponsorship. The speed thing becomes relevant if you're connecting high end devices like thunderbolt, but to copy files this is good enough.
