Abu GarciaRevo Rocket Spinning Fishing Reel

My absolute favorite. I’ve used a wide variety of different spinning reels and after much research and back and forth decided to get this one. It’s smooth as can be, casts great (using Fluorocarbon) and is light as a feather. All around it’s my favorite reel! Would highly recommend it and plan on purchasing another in a larger size down the road.

Super fast and light

Very solid and smooth operation. Performs great with a fast retrieval. But like others have mentioned occasionally the line can get caught under the spool. I still feel it's a great reel and will definitely get another. Hopefully it will last a good while. Then I can say it's a good value. 👍

WARNING - after you get used to this reel if you had any former favorites you'll end up never using them again.Awesome reel, even if Amazon sent me the wrong one costing me a couple hundred bucks in a missed fishing trip due to not having the correct gear to bring with me.Would highly recommend buying this reel, but due to this order flubbing up so terribly I'm not going to renew Prime.

Hi all I'm an avid fisherman I'm 60 years old and have had a fishing pole in my hand from the time I can remember. I fished with all kinds a rods and rails and this one is far superior. It's the 7 to 1 ratio that makes the difference you could get just that much more action on your lures that you can't get with other reels. So go out and buy your brother write your review and I hope you love it just as much as I do.

i had this reel for a month or so it was my fav reel i use it to catch bait for catfishin and tossing jigs and raps for walleye.. the line pickup is the best ive ever seeen i think that your acidntly reeling faster than you think and in my opinion it helps trigger bites from fish... the only set back is that it didnt hold togather when i ran it over with my 1ton dodge cummins rear tire

Fast: picks up line pretty quick for a spinning reel. Good drag, not great. Light weight but doesn't feel cheap.Mostly used for deep water dropshot and Light spooning 30+ftI never feel behind the fish when setting a hook. Handles Light line and bigger fish well.I would buy another on sale

This $160.00 reel had visual damage (scratches, dents, and paint missing) upon opening the box.Also, as a lifelong fisherman, knowing my equipment, I can hear the bearings scraping as I reel the reel.Its loud when you crank it, as if I've owned this reel and used it without maintenance and lubrication for the past year or two. Also, it came to me without a spare spool. It was advertised having a spare spool!!!?????I'm taking it to Mexico next week to fish for Largemouth Bass, so I have no time to replace it or return it.I'm sure it won't last a day on Lake El Salto, or Lake Piccacos. I always have confidence in Abu Garcia reels. This red Revo Rocket is a mid range reel, well-priced, and the 7.5:1 high ratio is wonderful for fishing bass which likes to swim fast towards the angler once it is hooked.
