Cycling Mount for Garmin Varia Mount RTL510, RTL515 and TL300 Varia Rearview Radar or Tail Light, Solid All Metal Mount for Garmin Varia Under Bike Seatpost

On a road/gravel bike there's only so much room this is pretty handy but on a couple of my bikes I have a little storage pouch there but otherwise it works well is sturdy and easy to put a radar on and off.

I've only just received this and mounted it. Used it only once so far. It seems well made and works well. ONE THING TO NOTE: Mounting requires two different hex wrenches, a 3mm and a 4mm! Neither one comes with the mount. Luckily for me, I have a complete set of hex wrenches, but still I don't understand why 1. the manufacturer didn't settle on either 3mm or 4mm for both sets of hex screws 2. why the hex wrenches aren't included with the mount. I've purchased many bicycle accessories (mirrors, for example) where the required hex wrench is included in the package.

I own an Aventon Aventure 2 and struggled to find a good place to mount the Garmin Varia. The problem is that the wheel is very large, and I don't like to sit too high, so I didn't have proper clearance for the radar and light. This mount works perfect and solved this problem for me. As you can see in the photo, the mount allows the radar to sit higher, giving better clearance as compared to using the seat post mount that comes with Garmin. It is much sturdier and offers more adjustability. Very happy with this product. Seems well made and was super easy to install. I may add some Locktite in the future just to make sure the screws don't loosen. For reference, this is a stock Aventon seat.

This did not have the actual Garmin adapter included - the thing that all the other reviews say is oriented 90 degrees off. I actually had one from another mount that I was just going to go ahead and use but then I found that I couldn't tighten the bolt in the three-finger "GoPro" mount enough to hold the plate in the correct orientation. The three fingers are steel and I couldn't tighten it enough to clamp onto the two fingers to prevent it from just flopping down.Update: Okay, I retract the part about not being able to tighten the GoPro finger mount. I didn't realize the bolt was in backwards and it was threaded in from the thread side so there was nothing for the bolt to grab on the other side.Still not pleased that I didn't get the Garmin part.

The media could not be loaded. Secures the unit tightly to bike seat. Beats the rubber bracket included with radar, not even close, easy to install and excellent material

Looked like a solid design and liked the fact you could change orientation, but didn't fit my RadPower seat , as the seat rails underneath only had 1.5" of space and the cut outs on this don't align and the screws also don't fit in between the rails, so i will need to return and find something that fits unfortunately

This mount seems to be built with solid material and in correct size. I have similar mount from another brand, this one seems to be stronger, everything is metal except the insert. The insert is plastic.However they put the insert in wrong direction, so when you put the radar on, it will lay horizontally! See picture. I have to unscrew the insert and realign it to correct position. If you are like me, receive one with wrong placement, just take those two small screws out from insert, and rotate the insert 90 degrees and tight it up.After this fix, the radar seems to fit very well.

I had to wait till I got my new bike which came with a seat I could mount it on. The mount has worked very well and holds the Garmin Varia in place without any issues. The two screws on the plate could be a little longer and that would help with the installation. It's not hard, but that would make it easier. You can adjust the angle so the Varia is at the correct angle and picks up the cars behind you without any issues. I checked the bolts again but so far they have stayed tight. I may back them off and put on a loctite just to make sure they don't come loose.
