Good performance for 1st year. Dealing with slabs of ice is a pain but knew this going in. 2nd year various issues began to show up. .achi e would not reset after ice harvest cycle, ice was thin and required adjustments, required reset often, etc. I kept unit clean and used recommended cleaning fluid regularly. In 3rd year, ice would not fully discharge in harvest mode then run ice mode again yielding a block of ice on the condenser tray . I have finally given up and now shopping for another unit. Learned my lesson trying to save money on a Maxx Ice. Very disappointing

Needs a gravity drain for sure, but I was able to rig a mini condensate pump behind it and am enjoying having ice readily available all the time. It’s no louder than any other kitchen appliance, and after the ice storage area is full, it’s no problem at all. Bought a metal ice scoop to make busting up the sheets and using the ice easier. No worries!

Great product

We bought this ice maker in 2015 and it has been on and working every day since. I change out the water filter every 2 years (it says 5 years, but for the cost, more is better), and this machine just keeps on going. Clean it every couple of years, when I think about it. Other than that, has worked like a dream. My kids call it "the good ice," and we always use it for our parties and daily for my drinks. TOTALLY WORTH THE EXPENSE of having the machine.
