This "splint" might work for you but didn't for me.I didn't get any benefit from this device. I still had pain from wearing my steel toe-capped work shoes and only had relief by wearing less tight shoes/ slippers or more often, these days, no footwear.What is working for me is the above and some toe stretching exercises such as picking up a towel with my toes and flexing my toes straight (although this does sting and click a little as you feel the toe stretch). My hammer toe is not completely locked and so does not require surgery and hopefully never will.A hammer toe deforms at the first or distal phalange (bone at the nail end of the toe) as opposed to mallet toe which deforms first at the medial phalange (bone nearest the foot) raising the toe into the air thereby shortening the tendon and muscles along the toe causing the distal phalange to turn downward creating the mallet head. So this splint might work better for mallet toe.Worth a try at least and with the right footwear and stretching exercises, who knows?

This came to me quite quickly - a very good service.However, I bought this in desperation for a painful hammer toe which is giving me quite a lot of pain when I have my shoes on, so I thought I would try this. It seems a good idea and I can see the way it works, however, the pad which goes on the sole of the foot makes extra padding in one's shoe. therefore my foot was more painful wearing the straightener than without as it pushed my toe up more against the top of my shoe. For me therefore it does not work.

I believe this product arrived from the USA, so it took 2 weeks to get here. But aside from the wait, the product has been a life saver and I wear it almost everyday. Ever since I badly twisted my right ankle, I've noticed I get hammer toe in the middle toe of my left foot. This only happens when I weat high heels, I suppose I walked funny to compensate for my ankle and it's still stayed with me. Hammer toe is so painful and can lead to long term complications. Now I wear this whenever I wear high heels and it's really done the trick!!! No more hammer toe!The grip is great, it's quite discreet except for strappy toed sandals (where I don't get the hammer toe rubbing anyway). It's even hidden when you wear peep toe shoes.

I bought these on recommendation from the surgeon who operated on my foot as the toe next to the big toe was "lifting". This amazing product has helped keep the toe in place and makes walking very comfortable and I walk long distances. I use one on the other foot where I have a hammer toe (not needing an operation) and this certainly has helped it.I read very negative reports on this product before I purchased but thought I'd give it a try and I have worn both pads nearly every day for more than three months without any breakage to the splint. I'm now ordering new ones so I have spares here as they are now wearing a bit thin on the underside!

This is quite comfortable to wear, but according to the packaging, not on the screen, it is for 2nd or 3rd toes - my hammer toe is the 4th, so I have had to cut it down to fit both my foot and my shoes, otherwise it would overlap. Description could be better.

I ordered this for my sister who has a hammer toe, but unfortunately although it straightened the toe she could not get her shoes on with it because the bottom part was too thick. She specifically wanted it to wear with her shoes which rubbed her hammer toe.

A very good buy, I have suffered a hammer toe for a long while, I tried pharmacies, supermarkets. And other shops to find something that give me relief, I found this on line and I will be ordering a spare very soon

I have tried a few toe hammer straighteners and this is by far the best most comfortable and easy to clean
