It's basically contact paper you can write on and erase. Useful in some situations
Really, this is nothing more than contact paper you can write on. I'd say the dry erase is so-so, as several markers left a residue that I had to get off with spray cleaner.I haven't had adhesive issues because it's attached to glass, so I can't comment on that. Those issues may be a function of the type of paint on the walls (i.e., flat paint is difficult for some removable items to stick to). The adhesive stuck to the glass without any issues, and I used a card to push the bubbles out. I haven't had to fix it in over two months.Overall, it works okay. If you're hoping for something you can get a lot of uses out of, then I'd suggest investing in an actual whiteboard. The surface of this gets worn easily and is less responsive to erasing over time. It's not really intended for extensive use.

Erases well, easy to cut, easy to adhere - great purchase!
This whiteboard is great. I’m a teacher, so I bought one roll to use at school. I love that you can easily cut it (and it has grid lines on the back so lines are straight) - I cut it into several squares and used tacks to attach it to a fabric-covered bulletin board.I bought another roll for home, and my kids love it!It erases decently. It comes with one blue marker. I bought extra markers, a dry eraser, and spray. Using the spray, I can get the board pretty clean.I didn’t have much trouble attaching it to the wall. I peeled off a little of the back paper, stuck the end of the roll to be wall, and then just slowly peeled off the rest of the paper. I used my other hand to follow on the top and stick the middle to the wall and then smooth it out from the middle and it was fine.I’m very happy with this!

Great for my needs, but adhesive is so/so.
Applying the product to a wall is a little tricky as it tends to curl up and stick to itself. I went through several mishaps when applying to my wall, and unfortunately (even after cleaning the wall in advance) the adhesive on this product was not enough to keep it up. I applied a long (~4.5 foot) roll in my office, and a short 1-ft by 1-ft square in the kitchen, both began to peel away from the wall at the corners within hours. After a day, the long section in my office had fallen off the wall. I tried washi tape around the edges to keep it stylish looking, but that wasn't enough to fix the problem. I finally resorted to colored duck tape which fixed the issue for good, but doesn't look great. All in all, I'm very happy to have a quick and easy dry erase board, especially one that I can cut to my exact needed dimensions. As such, this product works great. Knocking off one star for not-so-great adhesive and the need for taping the borders. If applying a large section (like my 4.5 ft) I highly recommend using a level and tape measure to draw some guide lines. Once you have a corner in place, try to peel off the backing from one end to the other and get the other, opposite-end corner about right, then work your way back and squeeze out all the air bubbles.

Doesn't stick, thin but usable.
Not even remotely self-stick. Tried sticking to a painted simple wall. No luck. Pinned up it does the job. Other thing to note: the graph paper it comes on, which ideally would be to some kind of measurable system, is completely random. So you can use it to cut, but do not measure by it.

Doesn't erase
It goes on nicely, but I've used several different types of markers and they just don't erase.

Hard to clean to a solid white again.
Did not come with a free marker as advertised. It wears quickly to a point that it won't clean to an all white color anymore, but it is still useable.

Great for my daughter
This is a great addition to my daughter's play room. It was easy to hang, stuck without issue to the wall, and easily erased with the Magic Eraser we use as an eraser. I have not tried this on any other surface than the smooth wall. I'm impressed with the quality at this price point. It was cheaper and easier than buying a board to hang. I do recommend using a name brand marker- they seem to erase better, especially using a Magic Eraser.
