Great looking product, good weight. Unfortunately the locking bolt that holds the straight edge in place broke. I had it only a few months. My Bahco one lasted 7 year and was half the price.

The square in the picture is not actually the square I received. They are the same brand and colour but the one I received was not as sturdy. The blue frame was much thinner than the picture and not as easy to hold. Simple things like the curve round the spirit level, being straight and not as well made. Maybe I have been sent the new or old model, if that’s the case then they need to update their products and pictures. I have googled the product code and it’s 100% not the one I have been sent but is the same as their product picture. Had I know it was different, I wouldn’t of purchased.

I’m not surprised - having read up on these things in advance - but it’s not square out of the box — not even close. It’s a common problem for combination squares apparently hence I didn’t go for a ridiculously expensive one. The packaging states "guaranteed square to 0.1mm over 1000mm" but sadly over just 300mm mine is 2-3mm off true! Far from the stated claims. Going to look into getting it trued up since it seems well built other than that. The slider is a bit rough though which is a shame.

I have not used the square in anger yet. I tested it for accuracy and it passed. The casting is a good finish and one of its best features is that it is made in the USA and not from that eastern state.
