Perfect Day Pack for my Family of 3 (25L)
The 3 of us went to Pinnacles National Park and did about a 3.5-mile hike. My daughter is 6 so she cannot carry much more than her own water. I had all of our food and supplies in my bag, and it was a breeze. The hip straps take all of the weight off of your shoulders and the wire frame keeps your back perfectly cool and not sweety. Only thing that caught me off guard is one of the interior zippers is missing the pull tab on it, it is supposed to be that way. I looked at the manufacture pictures and it was the same. Not sure why it is that way, but I did not notice it and neither did my wife while using it, just when it was brand new, and I was looking at everything.

Great backpack
Comfortable, compact yet can be very large to fit a tent sleeping bag and good and clothing. Perfect for a 1-2 night trips

Not for tall people
I put 3 stars cause the pack seems well made and would do the job, but don't get it if you are taller than 5'8" or 5'9", it can't adjust to accommodate any taller than that.

A Bang for Your Buck, but Beware of Heavier Loads
The Ampex 35L bag is genuinely impressive for its price point! It boasts features typical of pricier high-end bags, and the back design is perfect for folks like me who tend to sweat more than the average Joe. However, there's a small hiccup: when I started packing towards the higher end of its stated capacity, around 24lbs, I noticed the foam support compressed quite a bit. This made it less comfortable than when carrying lighter loads. So, while it's a fantastic buy for lighter trips, it might not be the best for those looking to utilize its full capacity. Still, I'd recommend it for its value and features!

I got this for my Life Scout son... for a big hike.
Their hike was unfortunately timed with bad weather... so there was rain, sleet, and mud. Mud was EVERYWHERE. It was just a 25 mile hike over a couple of days, with backpack camping, but it was muddy, mountainous terrain the whole way for the Troop.Observing his use of the pack, I noted a few things that were VERY nice. First, the hip belt with little pockets for essentials is awesome. It provides enough really decent support that the frame on the back and the rest are on the hips, rather than upper back and shoulders. After 10 miles, you'll really appreciate this.My son is currently 5' 10" tall and this pack seems to be built for him. The adjustable frame is useful, but wasn't necessary to monkey with for him. It fit "out of the box", minus strap adjustments. There are enough rigging spots throughout the pack to be able to attach gear that you don't want to dig for. We rigged whistle, solar battery bank, LED lamp, and more and it worked well.We can attest to the waterproof material. Time will tell how long this lasts, but it repelled EVERYTHING from light rain to horrible downpours. We were pretty impressed. Finally, at 50L, he was able to pack everything he needed to camp and cook for himself on this multi-day hike, plus clothes, lights, maps, gear, etc. Overall, he weighed his pack at about 55lbs, lightening each day as food was consumed. The pack was sturdy and held it all.Don't let the price scare you away. It's actually a VERY reasonable price for a pack of this quality.

The external supports can REALLY hurt
I took this pack on a 12 mile backpacking trip - everything about it was great except for the bottom of the “exoskeleton” supports. They are very hard plastic and can really dig into your back. I don’t think I can use this pack again because of this.
