This is a great idea for a therapy setting, but it's odd at home. The cards are way too small, firstly. My 5 year old immediately lost a bunch. She also struggled with the concept and faces. 5 and up is a tall order for something this small and simple. It's go-fish essentially. If the faces were all funny/silly then it might be better. Or more use of the full body. But for now, it's a dud in our home.

I played this game with my family and we had a lot of fun! It is really great for families!

This is the type of game that would be great in a therapist's office or in a classroom but loses a lot of its playability at home.I've got three kids and two of them like to play this but they get bored but pretty fast, if they had a reason only play at like once a month I'm pretty sure they'd like it more which is why it would work better in a setting where lots of kids could play it once or twice and then not play it again for a while

This is such a cute game! It's really small so it's easy to throw into a bag. Would make a great car game or anytime you need something portable. The pictures are really nice and the range of emotions is good. The rules say to play it like "Go Fish" but I think there are a bunch of other ways to use these cards. Maybe just draw one at a time and try to imitate it. Lots of options.

This is a cool concept, but I don't think it was perfectly executed. This is essentially a game of go fish with the added element of learning emotions. The age range is listed as 5+. My 5 year old who is a pretty smart kid was having a hard time matching the emotion someone was displaying to a card. Likewise it was difficult for him to imitate an emotion on the card when he didn’t fully understand what the emotion was.As shown in the product line pictures the pictures on the cards will show different ways of displaying an emotion. Great concept to learn, but hard concept for a 5 year old to incorporate into the game play.My 10 & 12 year olds can read substantially better than the 5 year old so the game was much easier for them to grasp. However, it wasn’t going to hold their attention very well.The quality of the game itself is very good. The cards won’t quickly tear up and the box is sturdy. The directions are simple and straightforward.I’m giving this 4 stars because although it’s not a good fit for my family game night, it is good quality. I can also see school counselors or other professionals getting great use out of it.
