Used DeMite additive (fragrance and toxin free) to launder my bedding (quilt, shams, sheets, etc) and it made a noticeable difference in decreasing my dust allergies. Next will launder my bed curtains with DeMite. Those of us with severe allergies to dust can benefit from the use of this product. I was diagnosed years ago with several allergies including to dust mites. My doctor suggested that I encase all bedding in allergy-designed covers and wash all bedding items in detergent/additives designed to target dust mites. I have done this and used DeMite laundry Additive for years. After initially doing so, I was happy to awake without itchy eyes and sinus stuffiness and have continued using what has worked for so many years for me. Easy to use, simply add directed amount to the water with your preferred detergent, add clothing and wash as usual. The DeMite does have a rather noticeable medicinal-type odor, which although diminishes after bedding is dried does somewhat linger, for me is tolerable and is outweighed by the benefits of using DeMite Laundry Additive.

My son used to wake up every morning with a runny nose but since starting this product he no longer seems to be having this problem. In fact, none of us are waking up itchy-eyed and sniffing. I can't prove it scientifically but I really do believe this is working for us based on our symptoms. I docked one star because it's messy pouring out of the bottle into a little measuring cup and then a lot of it sticks to the cup after adding to my detergent. For the cost of it I want to be able to use every drop.

I've been buying de-mite for about 4 years. Both my daughter and I have allergies. Hers are more severe. This was recommended by her asthma doctor. I've been washing all of our blankets and pillows in this religiously and we noticed a major difference immediately. It's really gross to think about the fact that even though it was not visible, there was obviously something in our bedding that affected us at night.

I sure hope this stuff is working. I don't know how I'd be sure. But it's so easy to use and you can use any temperature water, including cold. Plus you can still use your favorite detergent. That works out well for me because some of my sheets say "cold wash only." My allergist had said I needed to wash everything in hot water and I didn't want to ruin my nicest sheets.Definitely buy this instead of large jugs of mite-killing detergent.

I have a lung disease and two dogs so something like this is necessary if I want to continue letting them in the bedroom as their dander is the perfect breeding ground for dust mites. Kills those dust mites in cold water! I wash all my bedding with this stuff, sheets, comforters, pillow cases, pillows and blankets. I also wash any of my clothes that the dogs come in contact with. I hate to use hot water because clothes don't last as long and loose their color in hot water so I wanted something that would do the job in cold water. This product works! Leaves no odor or residue.

I was completely skeptical when my sinus specialist/allergist suggested I try this to help reduce my allergies and number of sinus infections.It made a difference (combined with a carpet cleaner and filter covers) the very first day.I use it primarily on my bed linens. After one week (when I would have normally laundered them anyway) I can start to tell a difference with my allergies when I wake up. I clean my linens with this every week, and it makes a real difference. I highly recommend it to anyone with allergies and pets.

I am sorry to say, but it truly smells horrible and the smell does not come out until I wash it again without the treatment. I am not sure if it works or not, but it smells so bad that we can't use it for bedding, clothes, towels, or anything that it's designed for.
