I purchased the smaller version of these a few years ago for another system that is now in my bedroom. I picked up the MKIIs to add to my recently purchased Paradigm Founder 120H towers that are outstanding speakers alone. I am a believer in subwoofers and in the same way my subs support more weight from 35hz to 18hz….even though 120Hs are rated at 22Hz +/- 3db with 3 active 8” drivers…..super tweeters provide more detail and air to the already excellent tweeters in the 120Hs. The improvement in sound was apparent immediately. I experimented removing the Aperion’s and the subs from the speakers and could never go back to the speakers solo….and 120Hs truly are magnificent speakers, but the top and bottom being reinforced just brings them to life. Of course finding correct crossover settings is important for blending seamlessly and I found 12Khz at - 3db was perfect. I also am using 4’ Aperion silver cables to connect and perfect. Associated gear for this is Audiolab 3300cd player, Qobuz and Tidal streaming with Topping D7s MQA DAC - (PLEASE SEE UPDATE at end of review)…..and also on occasion my IPhone with camera adapter and Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt dongle DAC connected to preamp thru Audioquest interconnect. Using new Bryston 3cube amp replacing a 4bsst that is in the bedroom and Rotel RC172 MKII preamp with balanced XLR Audioquest interconnects, speaker and power cables. Great addition and recommend. Delivery and service was great. * UPDATE: at time of review streaming based on Mac and PC laptops thru Toppings DAC. My new streamer arrived and integrated into main system. EVERSOLO A6 MASTER Edition. Amazing streamer and DACs and has confirmed all positive stated above and more with these super tweeters. I have never experienced such a level od audio satisfaction in my home. Imaging….deep, wide and high soundstage, and centre image spot in good recordings. I have been spoiled with this product. Also, addressing sound treatment…I am a Collector and pieces of various materials and textures heavily cover all walls in entire dedicated listening space. This has proven far more effective in listening and in measurements than many years of treating walls with bland boring acoustical panels….photo of one wall demonstrating.. Again, highly recommend!

I had heard mixed reviews about Super Tweeters on Youtube, so I decided to try a pair for myself. My initial thought is that they do bring out the music a bit more and are not extra bright which I was fearing from them. Actually they do not add this over bearing degree of highs to your music, they actually blend right in with my Polk Audio speakers and are a perfect marriage. They are probably not for everyone, just like subwoofers, The good thing is that you can try them for 30 days and decide. I am happy to keep my pair.

I like them. They provide that airy, open clarity that so many speakers lack. Tried them with Polk ES60 ($1k per pair) and what a difference… how many details of a song / movie we miss out on - my gosh!For reference they made the Polk ES60 towers sound more like my Martin Logan 60XT towers… albeit for the price of purchasing another set of MLs (if you include the $1k for ES60s) but if you already have towers that have decent lower/mid, then this could be an option - significant improvement to the neglected upper frequencies!The fit/finish is also ML black piano gloss, perfect.
