Same as in the museum
Great book for my kids, We visit the Louvre, but did not have space in the suitcase, so Amazon save the day and right there in the museum I bought the same book, a little shipper, and deliver to my home. Fantastic addition to encourage kids to learn about art.

May not be interesting to some kids
This is a really cool book, and as an artist, I love it, but unfortunately almost all of the elementary school aged kids that I work with were not interested in the contents. I'm not sure that is the fault of the book...it's probably more the fault of TikTok and everything else that has unfortunately eroded the attention spans of many kids.

Delightful
Mona Lisa and the Others is a fun and accessible look at art. Alice Harman’s light-hearted text has a slightly tongue-in-cheek tone to it that’s a pleasure to read. It’s informative and a bit snarky and moves quickly.Illustrations by Sir Quentin Blake build upon the original art, adding energy and brightness throughout.Excellent backmatter includes sections on the Louvre; ways to think about art; a timeline; glossary; list of artworks; and an index.Mona Lisa and the Others is delightful look at the Louvre and the art contained within. It’s a fantastic introduction that will appeal to readers young and old.

Brilliant art book for kids
Witty and informative, with a really novel angle - the people in the artworks address children directly, telling their stories and helping kids to understand how to look at art and uncover the feelings it inspires. Laugh out loud text and great illustrations make it a really fun read for all ages.
