A great little penknife with loads of useful tools.
Extremely high quality. Stays sharp. Very useful tools. I've got two :) Well worth purchasing the leather pouch to keep it in.

Best EDC knife I've ever had
I had a swiss army knife for many years however at the age of 35 I gave it to a man who was in the same hospital as my late uncle and then went on to purchase a Leatherman which I used to date. I'm the type of guy who likes being outside whether is walking my dog or spending a night outdoors under a tarp therefore, a good knife with lots of usful utilities is an essencial EDC item for me. Before I purchased this particular model I thought about the size/weight and whether it would be too big/bulky to carry in the pocket, I also thought about purchasing a hip case but I like to keep my knife OOS.My first thought after putting the knife in my hand was- its huge, I quicky put it my my pocket and walked round the house just to get a feel what it was like. Its actually not that bad! It tends to hang upright in my pocket which is a good thing as you dont have a horrizontal bulge bulging through the material of your jean wear. I played with the knife all evening and actually woke up this morning with it in my hand – Yes, I love the darn thing and the black finnish is outstanding (Well done Victorinox and thanks for producing such an outstanding product). There are a couple of things I could point out but these are only my opinion, 1, the awl/sowing tool would be best positioned opening out at the top of the knife rather than the middle and the magnfying glass, although very powerful its cheap and nasty and could quite easily break if your not careful when using it, other than that the knife is great and suits my purposes.

Swiss, and Champ - the name describes it all!
I won't go into the detail of all the features this pocket knife offers, look up the specifications if you need that information!Swiss Army knives fall into three main categories; the `basic' models which typically have seven blades, and are `standard' size, these are usually around twenty quid each. Then there's the midrange, and cost around £45 - a lot more functions, about twice the thickness and weight. Finally the `top end' which are big, chunky and are in my opinion aimed at collectors rather than having a real practical use, and can cost up to £600 each! The Swiss Champ Black falls into the middle category - as the name suggests it has a black body, as opposed to the traditional red, beyond that it is very little different. It's still made to the same exacting and high standards - there's probably more tools than you'll ever need in a lifetime, but there is always a certain level of satisfaction knowing whatever you encounter there'll be a tool to suit!Short of doing an engine stripdown, this'll do most jobs you need a pocket knife for.

KING OF MULTI-TOOLS?
Swiss Army knives have always been top quality and the Champ is an excellent tool.Everything here is useful and even the small magnifying glass is good enough to light a fire with dry tinder / wood. Even something as simple as a hidden pin is a wonderful item to have for picking splinters and thorns out of skin as they are very irritating to remove when I'm outdoors.I bought 2 of these knives and one lives in my backpack with the other one being in my hunting backpack which contains all manner of fishing and trapping items.I also bought 2 leather cases which help keep the knife clean and a sharpener pen which works very well on this and other knives - you'll see them come up in related items and 'customers also bought' parts of this page and they are well worth buying too.Forget huge hunting blades - this is a real 'survival' knife. The only difference between the black and red versions of the Champ is the colour and price - all the tools are exactly the same.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Amazing piece of kit.
I recently bought this as a gift for my husband and it is quality-and-functionality all wrapped up in a neat package. Having gone through all the functions, I honestly believe that in the event of an apocalytic event, if the only thing you had left in your pocket was this SAK Champ, you’d survive without a problem. There is everything but the kitchen sink on here. (It can even start a fire with the magnifying glass!) Beware the blades when opening and closing, they are lethally sharp (sliced my finger on day one!). If you or someone you love is into Camping/ Hiking/Fishing & Hunting/ DIY/ Hobbying, this is the perfect gift... it beats lugging around a heavy tool box. Victorinox quality ensures that this can last a lifetime with good care: use oil to maintain and get the leather belt-loop case to carry and protect your SAK. I bought the black case and a lanyard for the key ring, too. Highly recommended.

This is a great knife that does everything
I use this every day in many ways and it is really great to use. It is a little thick but with the number of tools that it holds it's to be expected. I have used a lot of the tools at least once and it is amazing the number of times that you find a reason to use it. The quality of the tools is excellent as you would expect from this manufacturer and the replacement options for tools is very good.I will no doubt buy another one as I am beginning to love having one and I can see me getting a collection of the different colours that they manufacture as they are so good.
