The attachments are 7/8 of an inch by 1 1/8 of an inch. The glue is attached to a slightly flexible tape and strong enough to hold to a curved surface. In short, it performs as advertised.

Can I mount this on the back of tv?

Yep, you can stick it mounted on the flat part of tv.

Are these secure enough so my cat can't knock it off the wall?

It works by holding the remote in place by attracting magnets, the magnets are strong enough, but the remote can be easily taken out, Maybe put them higher if your cat is playful.
