I got these for my wife as a surprise. She doesn’t get things for herself often so I wanted to do something nice. But…. Turns out, I don’t know anything about the nail polish world. She informed me that these are to be used with one of those high tech fancy UV thing-a-ma-doos. Which we do not have. She decided to give them a shot anyway and the results were slightly comical. The base coat took over two hours to dry. She was ever so patient…. She waited until the next day to do the nail polish and top coats. The regular top coat took about an hour to dry, but the matte really never did. It just turned into a clay consistency. She said it looked and felt like she spread a thin layer of Play-Doh on her nails. The regular top coat, once dry was great, no scratches or dents!She did tell me to only give 4 stars because it took her over 20min to get the nail polish off of ONE nail. And because the smell of all three are less than pleasant.

This review is for a JEWHITENY 10 piece base and top coat set. This set is for use with gel polish and needs curing with a uv/led lamp. I recieved 10 mini(7ml ea) bottles: 5 bottles of base, 3 bottles of shiny nowipe top coat and 2 bottles matte top coat. I wish that the set had more shiny top coat bottles and less of the base.They are easy to apply, using 1 coat base and cure, 2 to 3 thin coats of color curing between each, then 1 coat top coat and cure. I usually do 2 coats of top coat if I'm sealing nail art curing between coats. These should last quite me awhile.

The Jewhitney brand is quite popular. They make many quality kits for your nails which includes drills, lamps, Polish and etc. They are a mid line products company. I've used a few of them in the past and found them to be quite satisfying. They don't last any longer nor less than others in the same product sphere. The impressive thing about this company and product lines is the fact they saw the issues we were all having with base coats and top coats. They are always running out in the kits we buy. They usually only come with one of each. They fixed the problem by developing this package with ample amounts of what we all use most. They made this kit affordable and accessable. I'm a fan.

I love to do gel polish on my nails but going to the salon is expensive. I'm not that great at painting my nails with gel color (sometimes I might get it on my skin, and sometimes I might have a streak). Because I still need practice, there are times I just want to do clear gel on my nails (since the gel polish makes my nails feel so much stronger). I'm really glad to have this. I can choose to use it with color gel polish, or without (for those times I'm in a hurry).This is a great value. It's nice to have a bulk set like this, it should last a long time!

Wow! This set of gel base, glossy top coat, and matte top coat are fabulous! I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect at first because I’ve never used a matte gel top coat before, but it is awesome!!I already had some gel polish on, so decided to give the top coats a try on a few of my nails. In particular, one of my nails broke in the corner and after letting some nail glue dry, I wanted to try a gel top coat over that to see if it held it in place any better.Let me say that both top coats go on very smoothly. The gel isn’t too thick, so you can get a nice, light coat on your nails. Curing took around 1 minute, but I decided to do another minute afterwards because there were still a few wet places. So, after 2 minutes, completely cured and dry. The glossy top coat makes my nails look even more shiny than regular top coats and gives my nail additional thickness and strength. The nail with the broken piece glued back on is so far pretty strong after several days.The matte coat that I put on a few fingers is really amazing!! It really does make things look matte, which I really love the look of. I definitely will be using this on solid color polish often.The smell of the gel base and polishes is not terribly strong, and seems to dissipate quickly after curing. I will definitely be getting this set again as soon as I run out!!

I have so many different colors of gel nail polish but the base coats and top coats will always run out before I ever run out of colors lol. This will top me off yay! You get 5 base coats, 3 shiny top coats, 2 matte top coats so you can mix it up a bit! I’m super glad it comes with so many base coats. For sure I run low on base coats more than anything else lol. Definitely get this to compliment your actual gel nail colors when you run low. I honestly don’t know if the brand of base and top coats matter. I assume it might last longer and chip less soon with a more expensive and well known brand name? But I really have no basis for comparison since I don’t own any of the expensive brand name stuff lol. I’m honestly okay with my gel nails chipping off since that means I can change them up and do different colors! I would only not be okay with gel nails chipping off too soon if I had gotten them professionally done (since that’s EXPENSIVE) but since I’m doing them myself for super cheap I’m totally okay with just redoing them every so often! That’s the beauty of investing in this gel stuff and doing them yourself in the comforts of your own home while watching TV!
