Skagen Kuppel or Riis Minimalist Men's Watch with Stainless Steel Mesh or Leather Band

This is such a well-made watch, and it's beautiful. I gave myself this watch because I deserve it.

The media could not be loaded. I really like this watch. It is big and bold and the white face offers a beautiful contrast to the Black hour and minutes hands and the very visible Red second hand. It all comes together really well. The watch is bold and has a good weight to it. The strap looks a little soft, but it is very clean And firm. But I may replace it with a metal strap just so the watch looks more rugged.

I’ve wanted a nice dress watch for awhile. I couldn’t justify paying a big price for one, though. The watch has a simple easily readable dial design, looks modern, and has a slim profile on the wrist so it slides easily under a dress shirt or suit sleeve. I do like the look very much.Cons: The case is made of stamped metal, so it isn’t going to take a lot of abuse at all. It isn’t waterproof below an inch deep. The band feels and looks like it’s plastic. I suspect the crystal is actually plastic. In sort, it feels like a throw-away watch, but it certainly doesn’t look like one from a distance or at a glance.Value for money: It’s a good choice for a modern design dress watch which is basically just for jewelry.

I got this as a replacement watch for my dad, who has generally worn a $25 Timex. I have worn this brand for years. I got one for my mom, who loves hers. I got one for my daughter, who loves hers. Re this one, my dad loves the comfort of the thinness. He loves the look of this watch. He gets lots of compliments. My dad is a smaller to average sized man, and the size works for him (5'8", average build). His only complaint is that the numbers don't glow in the dark, although he decided to keep it anyway. (They do make some with this feature, but I didn't realize it was a concern of his when I purchased it.). I've yet to be disappointed with a Skagen watch.

The watch lasted three months before it stopped working. Skagen repair asked me to ship it and told me that they will repair it for free. After shipping they told me that the cost of the repair is about the same as a cost of a new watch. Do not buy from them if you do not have to.

My wife loves those minimalist watches. As the Skagens we had before it works perfectly and looks good on her arm.

This is a nice watch that keeps accurate time. What attracted me to this model was its minimalist, clean design, which is typical for so many Skagen watches (I already own a few). What I don't really care for is its size (I'm 6'3 and yet I find the watch too large for my wrist), and the fact that its pointers do NOT sufficiently glow in the dark. So its luminosity is sub-par in my opinion. I'm currently still debating whether to keep or return it.

I have been a fan of Skagen watches for over 15 years. This watch is very good looking and robust. The stainless steel mesh band matches the watch and adjusts and holds the watch firmly.
